As we continue introducing the experienced members who will proudly represent Lanka Masters at the IMC Over-60s World Cup in Mississauga, Canada, commencing 9th August 2026, we are pleased to introduce another highly experienced member of the touring squad.

⭐ 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧 – 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 / 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫

An accomplished left-arm orthodox spin bowler and left-hand lower-order batsman, Dr. Gowripalan brings decades of playing, coaching, and leadership experience to the Lanka Masters campaign.

🏏 Captained St. John’s College, Jaffna in 1975, recording remarkable best bowling figures of 8 wickets for just 7 runs.

🎓 He later captained the University of Moratuwa in 1977/78, where he produced another outstanding bowling performance with best figures of 6/14.

🌍 His cricketing journey has extended well beyond Sri Lanka, having played in Yorkshire, England, as well as New South Wales, Australia.

🇦🇺 He currently continues his competitive cricket career with SLLSC in the Vintage Tournament and in the Port Jackson Sydney Region.

🌎 International Masters Experience

🇱🇰 Represented Sri Lanka at the Over-60s World Cup in 2022.

🏏 Represented Sri Lanka Over-65s in Tamworth and the Sunshine Coast, Australia, in 2026.

🇳🇿 Dr. Gowripalan also served as Bowling Coach and Selector of the Sri Lanka Over-70s World Cup Team for the tournament held in Christchurch, New Zealand, in February/March 2026.

Now taking on the dual responsibility of Assistant Manager and Player, Dr. Gowripalan's vast experience both on and off the field will be invaluable to Lanka Masters during their World Cup campaign in Canada.
