✨What’s happening at CTK: Term 3, Week4!!

🎨Our Year 5 students enjoyed a wonderful excursion to the city. After catching the train in, we visited St Mary’s Cathedral to pray and admire its beautiful artwork. We then explored the Art Gallery, learning how the Young Archies artists use their work to tell powerful stories. We even had time to create our own bit of arts! It was such a wonderful adventure! 🎨

On Friday, our school community came together to celebrate the Feast of Mary MacKillop through a beautiful liturgy.
A special thank you to our wonderful Year 3 and 4 students for leading the prayer service.

As we celebrated Mary MacKillop, we were reminded of her simple yet powerful example: to never see a need without doing something about it. May her spirit of love, service and determination continue to guide our school community each day.

The kindergarten kids had a fantastic time with Tanya from JunkBeat Music - turning recycled treasures like bucket lids, pans, plastic bottles and plastic bags into music! We loved making our own mini shakers using plastic containers, old balloons and rice. So much fun!!

As part of their HSIE learning, students explored what life was like for early Australian pioneers, discovering how people lived, worked and learned in the past. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that brought their classroom learning to life! 🏡🧺🌾

❄️ CTK WINTER SLEEP OUT ❄️

Last night we took part in the Winter Sleep Out, a special evening of prayer, reflection, and community. Through a range of activities, students gained a greater understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and were encouraged to reflect on the importance of compassion and gratitude.

The Winter Sleep Out was a meaningful experience that inspired empathy, gratitude, and a commitment to caring for others. Many reflected on how fortunate they are to have a safe place to call home and the importance of helping those in need.✨🥰
