At Guardian Roseville, we know that the first week of childcare can be one of the biggest transitions a family experiences.
There are new routines, new faces, new friendships, and often a few tears along the way. While we often talk about separation anxiety for children, we also recognise that parents feel it too. Trusting someone else with your little person is a big deal, and we want families to know that we're right there beside them through that journey.
That's why this year we've introduced our "Happy First Week" packs for new enrolments.
Inside, families will find a few practical goodies, including a bib and wet bag for our younger children, along with a little reminder that messy clothes, muddy shoes, paint-covered sleeves and wet bags are often signs of something wonderful: a child who is exploring, learning, creating and belonging.
We've also included a special message for families:
"Your child is learning that they are safe, capable and loved in more than one place."
Because sometimes, parents need that reminder just as much as children do.
These little packs aren't about the gifts themselves. They're about acknowledging that the first week is hard, celebrating families for getting through it, and reminding them that they are now part of our community.
A huge welcome to all of our new families. Thank you for trusting us with your children's early years. We can't wait to share in the adventures, learning, muddy puddles, glitter explosions and magical moments ahead. š
