The Thumb Rule 👍🏼

Many children mix up the letters b and d when learning to read and write.

Here’s a simple trick you can try at home with your child:
1. Give a thumbs up with both hands.
2. Look at your thumbs with palms facing you.
3. Explain how your left hand looks like a lowercase b and how your right hand looks like a lowercase d.

This “handy” reminder supports children visualise and remember the correct letter formations when engaging in learning!
