We are a 16-place approved Early Learning Centre that has been specially designed for children aged 4-5 years in their preparatory year of learning. At Bexley Preparatory our partnerships with parents, educators and children is highly valued. We aim to create an enriched and supportive learning environment that encompasses both the Early Years Learning Framework and Early Stage One Learning Curriculum that is characterised by mutual understanding of educational values.

Many children mix up the letters b and d when learning to read and write.

Here’s a simple trick you can try at home with your child:
1. Give a thumbs up with both hands.
2. Look at your thumbs with palms facing you.
3. Explain how your left hand looks like a lowercase b and how your right hand looks like a lowercase d.

This “handy” reminder supports children visualise and remember the correct letter formations when engaging in learning!
