🌈 A Splash of Colour, A World of Learning! 🌿

Our Preschool children had so much fun exploring nature with colourful water today!
Using spray bottles filled with coloured water, the children sprayed our garden plants and leaves, then excitedly discovered the beautiful shapes and patterns the leaves left behind. There were lots of “Wow!” moments as they compared different leaf prints and watched the colours appear.
This hands-on experience supported creativity, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and scientific thinking as the children explored cause and effect, made observations, and investigated the natural world through play.
Learning is always more exciting when it’s colourful! 💚🌈

👀 Looking After Little Eyes with the STEPS Vision Screening Program 💙

🚗📦 Cardboard Box Cars at Chipmunks in the Meadow! 📦🚗

This week, our little Chipmunks had so much fun turning simple cardboard boxes into their very own motor vehicles! Using paper plates for wheels, the children worked together to create their cars before hopping inside for some imaginative play.

Once their vehicles were ready, they zoomed around the playground, pretending to drive to exciting places, using their creativity and imagination along the way. This hands-on activity encouraged imaginative play, communication, problem-solving, and gross motor development as the children explored, ran, and laughed together.

We love seeing how a simple cardboard box can spark so much creativity and fun! ❤️

💙😴 Pyjama Week at Chipmunks in the Meadow! 😴💙

We've had the cosiest week ever as our little Chipmunks came dressed in their favourite pyjamas! 🧸✨
Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed plenty of fun-filled learning experiences, storytelling, creative activities, music, dancing, and lots of laughter—all while staying comfy in their PJs.
A big thank you to all our wonderful families for joining in and making Pyjama Week so much fun. We absolutely loved seeing everyone's colourful, cosy, and creative pyjamas, and the smiles they brought to our centre each day! ❤️

🌿💛❤️🖤 Exploring NAIDOC Week 🖤❤️💛🌿

This week, our children have been exploring the meaning of NAIDOC Week through a variety of engaging, hands-on experiences. Together, we have been learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, listening to Dreaming stories, creating artwork inspired by First Nations symbols and colours, enjoying music and movement, and exploring the importance of caring for Country.

Through play, conversation, and creativity, the children have been developing an appreciation for Australia's rich First Nations histories, cultures, and achievements. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity, respect, and excitement as they learn about the world's oldest continuing cultures.

We are proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week and support our children in building understanding, inclusion, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. 🌿✨

🎨 Little Artists, Big Growth 💛

Our children enjoyed taking time to reflect on their year by creating beautiful self-portraits and drawing the special people in their lives, including their friends and family. This meaningful experience encouraged children to think about who they are, the relationships they value, and how much they have grown throughout the year.

Through this activity, children developed their sense of identity, strengthened communication and creative expression skills, and celebrated their friendships and connections within our community. 💛

We loved seeing each child’s unique artwork and hearing the wonderful stories behind their creations — a lovely reminder of the confidence, growth, and learning that has taken place throughout the year. 🎨🌿

✨🦷 A sprinkle of magic arrived at our centre today… the Tooth Fairy came to visit! 🧚‍♀️✨

Our children had a wonderful time learning all about keeping their smiles healthy and strong during their dental checks. They explored why brushing is important, talked about healthy habits, and discovered how taking care of our teeth helps us shine bright every day! 😁🪥

❄️ Little Explorers Snowflake Creations ❄️

Today our Little Explorers got creative using cardboard stamps to design their own beautiful snowflake artworks! Through stamping, printing and exploring different patterns, the children experimented with shape, texture and colour while bringing their winter-inspired creations to life.
This experience encouraged creativity, fine motor development and self-expression as the children carefully pressed and repeated their snowflake designs to create unique masterpieces.
We loved seeing each child’s imagination shine and no two snowflakes were the same — just like our Little Explorers! 💙☃️

🐸🌿 LeapFrogs Program 🌿🐸

Today, our Preschoolers enjoyed another wonderful visit to the LeapFrogs Program at Rosemeadow Public School. 🎒✨
The children had the opportunity to participate in a range of engaging school readiness experiences while continuing to become familiar with the school environment. They enjoyed spending time with their peers, exploring new learning opportunities, and building confidence in a school setting. 💚

🐣🎨 Preschool Chicken Handprint Fun! 🎨🐣

Our Preschoolers had so much fun getting creative with paint as they used their handprints to create adorable chicken artworks! The children loved exploring different colours, making prints, and watching their handprints transform into little chickens.
Handprint activities provide many wonderful learning opportunities. They help develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and self-expression while encouraging children to engage in sensory exploration. The children were proud of their unique creations and enjoyed sharing their masterpieces with their friends.
