If you’ve ever taught a tricky word, practised it over and over…only for a student to look at you two days later like they’ve NEVER seen it before… you’re not alone 😂🫶🏼

For a long time, I thought the answer was simply more repetition.

More flashcards. More practice. More memorising.

But when I started looking at Heart Words differently, it completely changed how I approached them in my classroom. ✨

Instead of expecting students to memorise the whole word, we can help them identify the parts they can decode and the parts they need to learn by heart — supporting stronger word recognition over time. ❤️

And I wanted to make that approach EASY for other teachers to implement too.

So I created my Guided Heart Words Teacher’s Guide with step-by-step lesson scripts, hands-on activities and multiple scope + sequence options ready for you to use.

Less guessing how to teach those tricky words. More purposeful, explicit instruction. 🙌🏼

Comment COMMUNICATE and I’ll send you the link 💌✨

Communicating in the classroom has never been easier with these… 👀

Sometimes a student knows exactly what they need or how they’re feeling… they just need another way to tell you. 🤍

That’s exactly why I LOVE these Visual Communication Flip Cards.

With 70+ visual cues, students can quickly communicate their needs, emotions and responses without always needing to find the words — making them especially helpful for nonverbal students or learners with additional communication needs. 🫶🏼

And because they’re on easy flip tabs, you can quickly find the visual you need without flicking through a million different cards mid-lesson 🤭

You’ll also get an editable PowerPoint template, so you can create your own cards based on the individual needs of your students. ✨

Simple. Inclusive. Easy to use.

And one of those little classroom tools that can make a BIG difference to a learner who needs it. 🤍

✨ Save this & send it to your teacher bestie who might need the reminder 🤍

Those first few weeks backs can be tough, but…

You don’t need to have the perfect classroom.

You don’t need every routine nailed from day one.

You don’t need every lesson planned weeks ahead.

You don’t need to know exactly how this year is going to look yet.

What your students need most? 💕

A teacher who shows up.
Who learns their names.
Who makes them feel safe.
Who keeps adjusting as you all find your rhythm together.

The first few weeks can feel messy — and that’s okay.

You’re building relationships.
You’re learning your class.
You’re creating the foundations for everything that comes next ✨

One day at a time, teacher bestie 🫶🏼

Comment FEELINGS and I’ll send you the link 🌈💌

One little classroom display… but SUCH an important reminder for our students. 🥹🤍

All feelings are okay.

Happy. Excited. Worried. Frustrated. Sad. Overwhelmed.

Sometimes our students are feeling BIG emotions without actually having the words to explain what’s going on inside their heads.

That’s why I created my Flower of Feelings Mirror Display 🌈✨

Students can look in the mirror, identify how they’re feeling and start building the vocabulary they need to actually communicate those emotions.

Use it for:

🌼 Morning check-ins

🌈 Your calm-down corner

🤍 SEL lessons

✨ Mindfulness moments

🪞 Everyday emotional check-ins

And I love that every time they look in the mirror, they’re reminded that whatever they’re feeling that day… it’s okay to feel it. 🫶🏼

Available in rainbow or black + white — or print it onto coloured paper to match your classroom aesthetic! 🤭

Imagine walking into the new school year with your first TEN DAYS already planned for you… 👀

No staring at a blank planner wondering what on earth you’re supposed to do on Day 1.

Why I call my class a Family from Day 1🥹Comment ‘FAMILY’🫶🏼

♥️ From the moment they walk in... ♥️

FAMILY—where we support one another, cheer for every success (big or small), and build a space where every child feels safe, valued, and a true part of something special.

That’s exactly what I wanted my newest Back to School activity to reflect — 🫶🏼introducing the ‘My Class is a Family’ Craft 🏡✨

💡 It’s more than just an introduction—it’s a promise.

♥️ It helps students see that this classroom is a place where they are valued, cared for, and supported.

🌟 It gives them instant connection to their new learning family.

And when we display them? The classroom shifts. It’s no longer just a room—it’s a home. 🥹

✨ Because every child deserves to walk in and feel: “I am safe here. I am welcome here. I belong here.”
