🌼 A reminder that tomorrow marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week.

At My Little Sunshine, we will be Wearing It Yellow to show our support and raise funds for Children’s Ground, an organisation led by First Nations communities that works to create lasting change for children, families and communities.

We invite all children, families and educators to wear something yellow over the next week and join us in recognising the importance of reconciliation, respect and strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider community.

Meet Georgia, our wonderful Educational Leader at My Little Sunshine 🌿

Georgia is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection. She works closely alongside our educators to support high-quality programs that reflect the children’s interests, strengths, and ideas.

With a warm and supportive approach, Georgia is dedicated to building strong relationships with children, families, and educators while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for everyone.

We are so grateful for the knowledge, passion, and leadership Georgia brings to our MLS community every day 💛

Our chickens are hatching and the excitement is building! 🐣

Today, the children are enjoying a hands-on learning experience as they gently pet and hold the chicks, observe their movements and features, and create live drawings inspired by what they see.

These meaningful experiences help children build connections with living things, develop empathy and care, and deepen their understanding of the life cycle of chickens through real-life exploration and play-based learning.

Our Preschool (Koala) children have collaborated on a beautiful community artwork, now proudly displayed outside MLS. Through their own interpretations, the children explored what makes our local community meaningful to them, capturing familiar places, connections, and experiences that are part of their everyday lives.

This piece reflects more than creativity, it highlights the children’s sense of belonging, identity, and understanding of the world around them. We love seeing their voices and perspectives brought to life in such a meaningful way.
