🏆 These students have shown us what amazing learning they've done this week.

This week, Year 6 enjoyed an exciting excursion to NSW Parliament House and the State Library of NSW.

At Parliament House, students visited both the Legislative Assembly (Lower House) and Legislative Council (Upper House) chambers, where they took part in an interactive parliamentary role-play. Taking on the roles of the Premier, Ministers and Members of Parliament, students debated the question: Should the school day be extended by one hour?

It was a fantastic opportunity for students to experience democracy in action and bring their learning to life. The excursion was a wonderful complement to our History unit, “Australia as a Nation.”

We came together today to celebrate the feast day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop. She was an ordinary person who lived an extraordinary life. Mary MacKillop is remembered for her eagerness to discover God's will in all things, for her charity in the face of difficult times and for her abiding trust in God. She truly was a woman who lived her life out of the ordinary.

Today, generosity wasn’t measured by dollars, but by willing hands, open hearts and time freely given 💚🤍

A heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful families who generously donated food for our Vinnies Night Patrol sandwich-making initiative. Your kindness and generosity made this possible.

A special thank you also to the lovely ladies who generously gave their time this morning to prepare the sandwiches. Together, we were able to make a meaningful difference for those in our community experiencing hardship.

As Jesus reminds us, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ in our community.❤️✝️
