At our primary school, we are continuing to build a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment through our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) approach.

This week, our students are learning and practising the No – Go – Tell strategy when they experience unwanted or unsafe behaviour.

What a day on the netball court!
Congratulations to our amazing students who proudly represented St Mary’s Star of the Sea at the NSW Catholic Primary School Netball Carnival in Penrith!

Our students showed incredible teamwork, determination, sportsmanship and school spirit throughout the day. They gave every game their all, supported one another and represented our school with such pride.

A huge congratulations to all of our players on an outstanding effort! We are so proud of the way you played with heart, encouraged your teammates and never gave up!

💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

Today we celebrate the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, carers and father figures who fill the lives of our children with love, guidance, encouragement and joy.

Thank you for the many ways you support, nurture and inspire our children — for the bedtime stories, early morning starts, words of wisdom, endless lifts, big hugs and all the little things that make such a difference.

As a Catholic school community, we give thanks for the gift of family and pray for God’s blessing upon all the special men who help our children grow in faith, kindness and love.

Today, we also hold in our hearts those who may find Father's Day difficult, including those who have lost a father or child, or who are separated from loved ones.

Wishing all the fathers and father figures in our community a very happy and blessed Father’s Day! 🙏💙

🏉🌟 Year 6 Girls Shine at the Primary Conference Competitive Championships! 🌟🏉

A huge congratulations to our incredible Year 6 girls who proudly represented our school at the Primary Conference Competitive Championships – NRL League Tag! 🏆💪

The girls showed fantastic teamwork, determination, sportsmanship and school spirit throughout the competition. They supported one another, gave every game their all and should be so proud of their efforts! 👏❤️

Well done, girls! You represented our school with pride and showed what can be achieved when you work together as a team. 🌟🙌

💙☕ Father’s Day Breakfast & Liturgy ☕💙

What a beautiful morning celebrating all the amazing dads, grandfathers and special father figures in our school community! 👨‍👧‍👦💙
Our Father’s Day Breakfast was filled with delicious food, laughter, happy faces and precious moments shared together. 🥐☕😊 It was wonderful to see our students enjoying this special time with the important men in their lives and creating memories together.
The morning continued with a beautiful Father’s Day Liturgy led by our wonderful Year 2 students. 🙏💙

The children did a fantastic job helping us reflect on the love, guidance and support that fathers and father figures provide each day.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to all those who helped make this special morning such a memorable celebration.

Congratulations to our World Book Week Costume Winners!
A huge congratulations to all of our amazing World Book Week costume winners!
We were blown away by the creativity, imagination and effort that went into everyone’s costumes. From much-loved storybook characters to clever and imaginative creations, our students truly brought their favourite books to life!
We hope you enjoyed celebrating the wonderful world of books as much as we did!
Thank you to all of our families for getting involved and helping make World Book Week such a memorable celebration of reading, stories and imagination.

📚✨ What a wonderful Book Week we have had! ✨📚
Our students have enjoyed a week filled with books, imagination, creativity and fun! 📖💭🌟
🎭 We kicked off the celebrations with our Book Parade, where students and staff proudly dressed up as their favourite book characters. It was fantastic to see so many creative costumes and hear about the wonderful books that inspired them! 📚👑🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️
🧺🍎 We also enjoyed a special Book Week Picnic, with our families and friends joining us to share food, stories and lots of smiles. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our love of reading together as a school community. ❤️📖👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
🎨📚 Our students have also been busy getting creative for the Classroom Display Competition, working together to create imaginative and book-inspired displays. We have loved seeing their creativity and teamwork! 🌈✨
🐛📖 And who could forget our Bookworm Guessing Competition? During Book Week library sessions, students had the chance to guess how many bookworms were hiding in the jar! 🫙🐛 There were some very close guesses! 👀

Positive Behaviour for Learning focus this week is; Playing Fairly and Being Respectful.

Playing fairly means including others, following the rules, taking turns, being honest, and showing good sportsmanship whether we're in the classroom, on the playground, or playing sport.
