An evening where 85 women, from across the St George area came together to experience an evening of connection and creativity.
It was wonderful to see so many of our STMSS mums join together to celebrate that incredible bond and take a well-deserved moment for friendship and creativity at Friday night's "MasterPEACE of the Sisterhood" Paint and Sip evening led by the St George network's Family Educators! 🎨🥂
It was a fantastic evening filled with laughter, shared stories, and some seriously impressive artistic talent. Just like the beautiful colours on the canvas, our community is brighter and more vibrant because of each and every one of you!
Thank you to all the mums who came out to connect, support one another, and make the night so special. A special thank you to Mr Anthony D'Cunha for very generously giving his time to cook and cater for our mums , the taco bar was a huge hit, to Mrs Barbara Ryan for supporting our artists throughout the evening and to Bethany College for allowing the use of the college Hall.

Year 2 Steps Back in Time at the Schoolhouse Museum!
Our Year 2 students stepped back in time during their exciting excursion to the Schoolhouse Museum in Ryde!
The students experienced what school life was like in the past by practising their handwriting with traditional ink pens, exploring fascinating historical artefacts, and discovering how children learned and played many years ago.
They enjoyed solving old-fashioned puzzles, examining stamps and classroom resources from the past, playing traditional games, dancing around the Maypole, and even taking part in morning drill exercises just like students once did to start their school day. The museum brought history to life and gave our students a wonderful opportunity to compare life in the past with life today.
A fantastic day of hands-on learning, curiosity, and fun was had by all!

What an amazing way to finish off their final year of primary school! 💪🌲🏹

🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week 2026 ❤️💛🖤
Last week we recognised National Reconciliation Week 2026 and reflected on this year’s theme, All In — a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.
On Friday, we gathered in liturgy to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of this land, the Bidjigal People, and to honour the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families within our school community.
We were also proud to officially install our permanent Acknowledgement of Country at the Croydon Road Gate. This meaningful installation will serve as a daily reminder of our commitment to reconciliation and the true history of the land our school stands on.
We encourage all families to take a moment to view the installation and reflect on how we can continue to walk together toward a more just and reconciled future. ✨

🌟 Feast Day Celebration – 140 Years of Education 🌟
Today, our St Mary’s Star of the Sea community proudly celebrates the Feast Day of our school and an extraordinary milestone, 140 years of faith, learning, tradition, and community.
For generations, St Mary’s Star of the Sea has inspired young people to grow in knowledge, faith, compassion, and service. We give thanks for the many students, families, staff, clergy, and community members who have shaped our rich history and continue to guide our future.
As part of this special celebration, we were excited to announce our new House Colour names and values:
💛 Mackillop – Yellow – Respect
💚 Brennan – Green – Nurture
❤️ Cremin – Red – Affirm
💙 Aikenhead – Blue – Service
Today also marked the unveiling of our new school song, a celebration of our identity, spirit, and shared journey as a faith-filled community.
We were also blessed to celebrate the blessing of our beautiful Mary Garden, a special space for prayer, reflection, and honouring Mary as the guiding star of our school community.
As we celebrate 140 years of Catholic education, we look forward with hope and pride to the generations still to come.
✨ Together in faith, learning, and service.

Yesterday our Kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful incursion connected to our Science unit on Living Things! 🌱🦋🐞
Students discovered what living things need to survive, how they grow and change, and why it is important to care for our environment and the animals around us.
We look forward to continuing our exploration of living things in the classroom.
