Macarthur Women's Coffee Club

💐This week we talked about 'Purpose'.
What motivates us to get up and do what we do. In every flower arrangement there are the big flowers and the small. Some stand out but without the small flowers the arrangement is not complete. So here we are as a small part of the Macarthur community doing something small but significant.

We cultivate friendships, help those in need and foster inclusiveness at Macarthur Women's Coffee Club which is an initiative of Rainbow Crossing Inc.

What did we do yesterday?
☕️ Admired the things that bring happiness over morning tea, sing and dance.
🌏 Rehearsed 'Heal the World' song for Michael Jackson Tribute Night raising funds for Macarthur Community Kitchen
🫖 Getting raffle prizes and chocolates wrapped for Happiest Morning Tea raising funds for the 24hour Fight Against Cancer
👩‍🍳Cooking sessions for Macarthur Community Kitchen
🧶 Knitting for those having a rough time & donating wool.
🎁 Thanked Angel Gifts for Rainbow Crossing Inc - Jane Tracey for the angel cards that go out with our meals.

Big thank you to Macarthur Fresh 2560, Lomandra Community Project, Outback Steakhouse Leumeah and many other supporters.

Today was all about how we can support the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur. Sue McGarrity helped us understand that every dollar raised stays in Macarthur for our community.
Our very own Happiest Morning Tea raising funds for the 24hour Fight Against Cancer is coming up and so Chairperson Warren Morrison of this charity and Brian Laul who was a foundation member of the charity are creating lots of awareness too along Jane Tracey of Angel Gifts for Rainbow Crossing Inc.

🌸 Tomorrow 10th June morning, Sue McGarrity who is the Deputy Chairperson for the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur will speak to us about the importance of this charity where all funds stay in Macarthur. She has always been a great advocate for our region and also does her Cards for 24hr Fight Against Cancer Macarthur.

Our 4th annual Happiest Morning Tea raising funds for the 24hour Fight Against Cancer is on the 1st of July morning, 10am to 12.30pm.
Entry: $5 donation preferable and $2 raffle tickets available.
We are collecting new items for the raffle so please drop them before the day.

It's volunteers week and we like to express how rewarding it is to volunteer for Rainbow Crossing Inc not for profit organisation that does so much for our community.

Last Friday at Wests League Club was the Macarthur Young Champions Awards 2026.

Earlier last month at Koshigaya Park Campbelltown was the Macarthur Multicultural Children's Festival 2026

Ongoing Macarthur Community Kitchen feeding the homeless at Oz Funland has completed more than 4,363 meals up to date.
Some of the captures show the various people & activities. We are ordinary people lending a helping hand to create a happier world.

🎨Today creativity flowed as we read the book' The Get Well Tree' and created our own artwork.
Thanks to Megan Williams for the donation. Many blankets were added to the collection going out to No Home, My Home for the homeless.

We are encouraging all ( men & women) to join us for the Happiest Morning Tea raising funds for the 24hour Fight Against Cancer. $5 entry ticket donation and $2 raffle tickets are on sale now. Next Wednesday, Sue McGarrity will speak to us about the importance of this cause.
Also the fundraiser for the Macarthur Community Kitchen is on Sat 20th June Michael Jackson Tribute Night.

It is appropriate as we get ready for our Happiest Morning tea raising funds for the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur that we can use these books to spread more comfort.

✨Yesterday, some of us were happy to volunteer at the Macarthur Young Champions Awards, proudly presented by Rainbow Crossing Inc. It was held at Wests League Club Leumeah and the service was impeccable with nearly 500 people there.🌟

Congratulations to all the Finalists and Winners, you are proving that every dream deserves a chance to shine.
