Our Year 5 and 6 students had an incredible day at the SCS Interschool Sports AFL GALA Day at Roselands!
Students jumped straight into the action, taking part in a range of AFL drills designed to build confidence, teamwork and new skills. The atmosphere was full of energy as they learned kicking, marking, handballing, and game-play strategies alongside students from other schools. The highlight of the day- A special meet‑and‑greet with GIANTS AFL players. Thank you to SCS and AFL NSW for the opportunity!

The unpredictable weather does not stop our students from doing their best! Our Friday Award Assembly was extremely successful as many students from K-6 received various awards. Awards were presented for SPBL, Learner Quality and many sporting awards!

We are so proud of their efforts. Keep up the fantastic work.

Today we celebrated National Simultaneous Storytime with the students listening to the 2026 selected book "Luna Roo - The Kangaroo Baller" by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd. This inspiring, high energy sports tale about courage, teamwork and believing in yourself set the perfect theme for the fun activities that followed. There was even a penalty shoot out between students and teachers!

What an amazing day we had at the 2026 Athletics carnival. We are so proud of all our students for their effort, teamwork and sportsmanship. Together we made unforgettable memories! Thank you to Mr Aitken your great organisation of another fun filled day.

Congratulations to our award recipients for Week 3 and 4. Students received Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates for following our school rules of being Safe, being Respectful and being a Learner. Various Learner Quality Awards were given out to many hardworking students. We also had a few students who received a sports award for their participation. Well done to all our recipients!

As part of their Position unit in Mathematics, K Blue students are learning how to give directions by guiding a Bee-Bot robot along a path. How clever are they?

What a great turn out we had for our Mother's Day lunch on Wednesday this week. It was wonderful to see so many mums join together to share a meal and the company of each other. Thank you to our Family Educator, Zena, who put so much time and effort into organising such a wonderful celebration.

Last Friday, Year 4 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to La Perouse as part of their Geography unit, The Earth’s Environment. They spent the day exploring the local area and deepening their understanding of environmental features through a range of hands‑on activities, including creating detailed field sketches, embarking on a lively bug hunt, taking part in a sustainable walk, and even designing their own national park. The students had a fantastic time and returned with new knowledge, curiosity, and enthusiasm for the natural world.

Congratulations to our award recipients for Week 2. Our students were busy collating all their awards over the school holidays! Students also received Learner Quality awards for persevering with their learning, being curious, reflective, collaborative, motivated and being a risk taker just as the term resumed.

Across Sydney Catholic Schools, young artists are telling powerful stories through portraiture. The 2026 SCS Portrait Prize attracted 725 student submissions, with 93 artworks from 40 schools selected for exhibition.

Each portrait captures not just a face, but the connection and story behind someone important in the artist’s life. Now in its fifth year, the Portrait Prize continues to nurture creativity and artistic growth among students from Kindergarten to Year 12, encouraging them to develop both their technical skills and emotional insight.
