📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026 ✨📚
Our school became a magical world of books as students dressed up as their favourite characters. From wizards to wildthings, princesses to superheroes, storybook classics and everything in between, our learners created a vibrant symphony of stories.

A huge thank you to Mrs Chamberlain, the wonderful staff, families and students for making Book Week 2026 such a memorable one!

Under beautiful weather and bright skies, our Year 5 students enjoyed an exciting and competitive day at Patrician Brothers’ Fairfield for the Solar Car Challenge!
The Solar Car Challenge was the final day where Year 5 students battled it out to find the fastest solar car. They raced their solar‑powered cars through many thrilling heats, with one determined group of boys charging all the way to the final and proudly placing our school in 3rd place. Congratulations to Lucas, Cooper and River.
Creativity and teamwork were shining just as brightly — two other hardworking groups took out first place in both the Poster Making competition and the Paddle Challenge, impressing judges with their effort and creativity.
A wonderful day of STEM learning, fun, and school spirit for our young engineers. We thank Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield and Mary MacKillop Catholic College Wakeley for supporting our students. A special mention to Michael Richards and Mr Algeri for organising the day!

Congratulations to our Chess players who represented the school at the recent Chess Championships. The results were very close with our school placing fourth. All students displayed great sportsmanship and were great representatives of OLR. Well done to all the students!

Week 2 brought more brilliant achievements! Students continued showing strong Learner Qualities and earned Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates. Our Year 5 sports stars also celebrated teamwork and efforts as they represented our school and came 2nd at SCS’ 2026 European Handball. A great week for our learners.
