Throwing it back to dress rehearsals for our two Showcase mini plays. These performance ensembles worked so hard - learning lines, rehearsing and practicing for weeks, and they all absolutely nailed it on the night! 💪🏼 Looking forward to seeing these sparkly faces again very soon. Guys - enjoy what’s left of the holidays, cos we’ll be having another big year of fun and learning together!

Yep, we’ve been BUSY!!! Our end of year Showcase is just over 3 weeks away 😱 TLM students are vigorously rehearsing in preparation and it’s a craaaazzzy time. BUT all that practise will pay off soon, when they’re up performing confidently and having a blast! This is such an exciting time for our studio and a wonderful opportunity for the TLM community to come together ❤️ TLM PARENTS - the link for tickets was emailed on 30th October, so make sure you book in if you haven’t already 🎫 💃🏻 🎭 👏

How it started vs how it’s going 😭 The first pic I took in 2018 after an Inner West Eisteddfod victory; the second pic tonight during your final ever Speech lesson. On Saturday you’ll complete your Certificate exam in Speech & Performance and you’ve worked very hard to get here. It’s a bittersweet moment for this proud teacher. It has been my pleasure and honour to teach you, Miss S. I have no doubt that you’ll go out into the big wide world and do incredible things. I look forward to cheering you on 💪🏼💐👏 (as I’m sure does too ❤️).

Congrats to Mr L and Mr M for taking out 1st place in Storytelling and the Test Poem at the Ryde Eisteddfod 🥇🏆 A wonderful achievement and testament to your hard work, dedication and bravery 👏💪🏼 Well done boys!

🎭 IMPROV TIME 🎭 Our group students are learning the rules of improvisation, how to be flexible and build scenes with their fellow actors by “accepting offers”. It’s an important ability for life - listening to others and being open to their ideas. Also, it’s a lot of fun! 😂 Soon we’ll start working towards our end of year showcase performance, with exciting new scripts! It’s not too late to join one of the group classes on Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays. DM us for more information 📧

Term 3 is underway and it’s been magical watching our returning students welcome some new faces into the studio so warmly ❤️ They’re using the speech skills they’ve learnt at TLM to make new friends and that’s what it’s all about! (Proud teacher moment ☺️). Whilst our Tuesday classes are completely FULL, we still have some availability on Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings (group classes and private tuition). Term 3 is the last opportunity to enrol your child in a GROUP class for 2025, because later this term we’ll start working on the scripts for our December 6th Showcase performance. So it’s not too late to join! 😊 DM us if you’re interested!

Another successful weekend at the Parramatta Eisteddfod! Congratulations Miss D and Mr Z for receiving 1st place in the Public Speaking categories for both of your age groups 👏👏🥇🥇 Miss D outlined why today’s youth shouldn’t be underestimated; while Mr D argued that young people should play more sport and less online games. The feedback was that they both had well-structured, well-researched and well-delivered speeches! Great work kiddos 💪🏼

Congrats to Miss M and Miss R on completing their first AMEB Voice & Communication examination 👏 Students present a program of work including a poem, prose extract (a bit from a book 📖) and a speech. They choose a theme that they’re interested in and make sure all their sections relate to that theme. For example, Miss M’s program was all about ‘Bravery’ 💪🏼 while Miss R’s theme was ‘Australia’ 🇦🇺 The preparation requires months of work, as they choose pieces, rehearse and memorise their programs! Grades and feedback reports take a couple of weeks, but no matter the results, these students should be so very proud of their efforts (I certainly am!) 👏👏👏

A huge congrats also go to Miss L who achieved two more Highly Commended ribbons, in the prose reading and public speaking! What an incredible first go kiddos 👏👏👏 I think they’ve got the eisteddfod bug now! 😂 Look out world!
