Don’t forget! A few Xmas trees still available this morning only on Corner of Aumuna and Mona Vale Roads

TH Scouts and Rotary have a few Christmas trees left. They will be available for sale on corner of Aumuna and Mona Vale Roads (outside TH Tavern) from 9.00am tomorrow.

TH Cub Scouts hosted 80 Cubs, 20 leaders and a number of parents from the Garigal District to a hike and campfire on Saturday. We were lucky with the weather which was just as well as the route taken was reasonably challenging.

The hike was followed by a sausage sizzle and one of the biggest bonfires we have seen in quite a while.

The Group joined in the Terrey Hills Annual Markets today with a stall demonstrating the joys of Scouting. Visitors were invited to learn how to tie a reef knot and make an exploding frisbee.

By closing time, just about everyone in Terrey Hills knew how to tie a reef knot

Join Our Cub/Scout Groups – Volunteers Needed!

1st Terrey Hills Scout Group is growing, and we need passionate volunteers to help us provide amazing experiences for our young members. Whether you love the outdoors, enjoy mentoring kids, or have strong organizational skills, we have a role for you!

We’re looking for:

✅ Cub Leaders (1 evening per week (Monday 6:30pm-8pm + occasional weekends)
• Lead and inspire our Cubs (ages 8-10) through fun and adventurous activities.
• Full training provided, including outdoor leadership, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and more

✅ Scout Leaders (1 evening per week (Thursday night + occasional weekends)
• Support our Scouts (ages 11-14) in developing resilience, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Full Training provided including outdoor leadership, First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and more

✅ Treasurer (a couple of evenings per quarter)
• Help keep our Scout Group financially on track with basic bookkeeping and budgeting.

✅ Group Leader
• Oversee the Scout Group and help ensure everything runs smoothly. (Details can be discussed!)
