🥁 WHAT. A. NIGHT. 🤘🔥

Last night, our School of Rock community had the incredible opportunity to spend an evening with Frank Zummo — drummer for Sum 41 and Electric Callboy — at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney.

And this wasn’t just a masterclass.

Our students got to PLAY with Frank. 🤯

Students from School of Rock Bella Vista and Macarthur took the stage alongside one of the world’s great rock drummers, performing live, learning from him, asking questions and hearing firsthand about the passion, resilience and sheer hard work behind a life in music.

Frank was unbelievably generous with his time, his stories and his encouragement of our young musicians. Watching our students standing on stage with him — holding their own, making music and absolutely loving every second of it — was one of those moments that reminds us why School of Rock exists.

We talk a lot about giving young musicians experiences they simply can’t get from a traditional music lesson.

This was one of them.

A massive thank you to Frank Zummo for inspiring the next generation of musicians, to AIM for welcoming our community into such a fantastic venue, and to everyone who helped make the night happen.

And to our students… you absolutely crushed it. 🤘

There are nights you attend.

And there are nights you’ll talk about for years.

Let's send off winter with a FIRE weekend! 🤘

School of Rock Bella Vista will be taking over Hudson Hotel August 29th-30th for a weekend of rocking out on stage! No tickets necessary, just good vibes 😎

Our Saturday shows will be kicking off from 6:15pm and Sunday we'll have our students taking the stage from 11am!

The countdown is on.

In just a few days, 10 incredible School of Rock students from Sydney will touch down in the United States to begin The Great Plains Tour 2026.

Over 14 days, they’ll perform their way across 12 cities, travelling from Minnesota through Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin. They’ll play live, experience new cultures, make lifelong memories and represent Australia on stages across America.

What makes this tour special isn’t just the miles travelled or the cities visited. It’s the months of lessons, rehearsals, performances and dedication that have brought these young musicians to this moment.

We’re incredibly proud of Erin, Izzy, Natasha, Rudy, Jaydah, Jonathan, Isaac, Elia, Keiko and Luke as they prepare to take School of Rock Macarthur and School of Rock Bella Vista on the road.

School of Rock Bella Vista will be closed on Monday, June 8th for the King's Birthday. We will reopen Tuesday, June 9th.

All individual lessons, Little Wing, and Rookies students have been issued make-up passes.

We are incredibly honoured that Ray Williams MP recently recognised our school's 2025 Headliner Award achievement in Parliament.

Out of 439 School of Rock locations worldwide, only 45 schools received this recognition, and we're proud that Bella Vista was one of them.

What makes this especially meaningful is that the recognition isn't just for music education. It's for the impact being made in the lives of young people through confidence, connection, belonging and performance.
