Last week at Mindful Me, the children explored the importance of teamwork and all the different ways we can work together.
One of our favourite activities was passing a balloon around the circle while keeping it up using different body parts.
We then moved on to a creative teamwork challenge. The children worked in pairs, with 3 groups all given the same amount of materials and 10 minutes to create something together, here are some of their beautiful creations!

Mindful Me team had so much fun taking care of the little GWS Giants at the game yesterday.
We also had a special Mother’s Day craft for the children to make for their mums, which made the day even more meaningful. 🧡
Happy Mother’s Day!

Week 2
Today we continued developing our balancing skills, focusing on holding different postures to build strength, stability, and body awareness. The children showed great determination as they challenged themselves, and it was wonderful to see their confidence growing.
Some of our postures involved working in pairs, supporting each other to maintain balance. These moments not only strengthened muscles but also encouraged trust, teamwork, and connection.
We finished our session with a mindful meditation, giving everyone time to relax and be still. During this quiet moment, I noticed two friends gently holding hands… such a simple, beautiful reminder of the kindness and care growing within our group 💛

What a wonderful start to Term 2 in Mindful Me.
It has been so special welcoming both new friends and seeing familiar faces return. The sense of connection and belonging has really set a positive tone for the term ahead.
In Week 1, we spent time sharing our holiday stories and reflecting on how we felt coming back to school. It was lovely to hear everyone’s thoughts and see students supporting one another as they settled back into routine.
We also began reconnecting with our bodies through simple balance activities using Japanese bean bags, along with gentle stretching and holding yoga postures. These moments helped us slow down, build focus, and feel calm and centred.
We’re looking forward to a term full of growth, mindfulness, and connection!

This week at our Mindful Me Workshop, we explored the power of gratitude and self love.
The children reflected on what nurtures them, wrote kind words about themselves, and brought their thoughts to life through drawings.
Encouraging children to put pen to paper and practice gratitude helps to build self confidence, positive self image and strengthen emotional awareness.
Such a beautiful reminder that even the smallest words can grow into something powerful 🌱💚
