Celebrating Book Week at Brigidine College Randwick 📚✨

Book Week brought a buzz to Brigidine, with students embracing the chance to celebrate reading in all sorts of ways.

From our annual Snuggle Up with a Book to the always-popular Book Club Bake Sale, students took part in activities that brought books and literacy to life across the College.

A special congratulations to our Book Club girls, whose efforts made the Bake Sale such a success. Funds raised will go towards purchasing new books for our library, helping to grow the collection for everyone to enjoy.

On Friday, we came together to celebrate our dads with a special Father’s Day Mass and breakfast. Thank you to everyone who joined us to honour the incredible men who guide, support and inspire our students every single day. We hope you enjoy a relaxing and joyful day surrounded by loved ones!

A sweet excursion for Year 12 Food Tech! 🍨

Our students went behind the scenes at the Messina Factory to learn about a company that sits in 3 sectors of the Australian food industry; food processing & manufacturing, food retail and food service.

From raw material sourcing to large-scale processing, it was a fantastic real-world look at food manufacture and innovation in action! 🍦

Best of all? A little taste testing was essential for quality control!

Celebrating NAIDOC at Brigidine 🎨✨

Our Year 7 students recently took part in an incredible NAIDOC Art Workshop, guided by the talented Deslyn Marsh from Nyumbar Education. Through storytelling and traditional art techniques, students deepened their understanding of First Nations heritage, connection to Country and artistic expression.

Congratulations to Bella G on an outstanding performance at the NSW State Age Short Course Swimming Championships! 🏊‍♀️✨

Bella achieved incredible results across multiple events:
🥇 1st – 200m Freestyle
🥉 3rd – 100m Freestyle
⭐ 6th – 200m Individual Medley
⭐ 7th – 100m Breaststroke & 50m Freestyle
⭐ 8th – 200m Breaststroke

She’s now gearing up to compete at the National Open Short Course Championships late next month. Good luck, Bella! 👏🎉

On Friday of Week 5, our Year 9 Commerce students put their business skills to the test for their annual Market Day! From delicious cakes, cookies and fresh pizza to handmade jewellery and beautiful flowers, the school yard was buzzing with incredible products and impressive entrepreneurial spirit 👏✨

🏆 ZONE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What an incredible effort from our athletes at the Zone Athletics Carnival! Brigidine took home the overall School Champion title, finishing 1st in Intermediate and Senior divisions, and 2nd in Junior! 🥇✨

Shoutout to our Conference Age Champions: Olivia S (12s), Olivia K (15s), Leora F (16s), and Alexis H (17s), plus Lily D (15s) and Sophia K (16s) for taking 2nd place!

Special congratulations to our Record Breakers: Carina N (1,500m), Lily D (1,500m), Alexis H (800m), Olivia K (High Jump), and Sophia K (High Jump)!
