A long but fairly uneventful trip home and the journey is well and truly over. We were a little delayed getting to Vancouver, but we caught our Montreal flight just fine and now we're home! Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip a success, and of course to the students and their families. See you next year!

Aussie Animals! This morning several of us took the train out to Blacktown to visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park. No trip to Australia is complete without visiting the kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and dingoes.
Today was a free day and our last day in Australia. We leave in the morning to head back to the states. It has been a great trip and a great group.

A full day but not many photos to show for it. We had a luncheon meeting with Doug Grant from the American Chamber of Commerce. It was a very informative meeting and I think he convinced at least one student to move to Australia.
In the evening we had yet another dinner cruise, this one a bit more upscale than the one in Bangkok. No dancing (thank goodness).

Today’s adventures had us at a very nice restaurant called Baia the Italian for lunch and a business meeting with Doug Grant from the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Sydney.
Very interesting discussion about the important trading relationship between the United States and Australia, about the potential for moving to Australia to work, and variety of other topics.
The students had the afternoon off and we are now waiting to board our dinner cruise on the Clearview Dinner Cruise Line. as you can see, this is a very elegant boat, and the meal is outstanding. In the past, many students have commented that it was the nicest meal they’ve ever had. I guess we shall see you with this group!
They have the day free tomorrow. Some are going to go to the kangaroo sanctuary, some are going up to the Blue Mountains to hike, men are going to get their last-minute souvenirs and start getting packed up for our early departure on Saturday morning

A busy day, despite the rain. In the morning we visited Cochlear, inventors and manufacturers of cochlear hearing implants which have brought hearing to millions of people with hearing disabilities.
In the afternoon, we climbed the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge!

Barramundi and Bocelli! Today we visited two iconic landmarks in Sydney. The Sydney Fish Market and the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Fish market is the largest seafood market in the southern hemisphere. They just went through a massive overhaul and opened a new waterfront location in January 2026. We got to watch a very silent auction and tour the warehouses and retail shops throughout the facility. It was an educational and surprisingly un-fishy experience.

Not much in the way of photos today. In the morning we met via zoom with Robert Hossary. We met Robert several years ago when he was with the American Chamber of Commerce. He has had a varied career, both here in Australia and in the US. The students were turned loose on a scavenger hunt in the afternoon and we ended the day at a Brazilian steakhouse for dinner. Fish market tomorrow.
