Our children have been loving Sesame Street, so we followed their curiosity by reading Sesame Street stories and bringing their favourite characters to life through painting! 🎨✨

Celebrating NAIDOC week 2026 at StoryHouse Alexandria! 🖤💛❤️

Ms Jhona facilitated a group art project inspired by the Dreamtime story ‘The Bat and The Crocodile’.

Preschoolers listened excitedly to the story and showed interest in creating an art piece inspired by it, they all had turns sketching, painting and colouring the large crocodile artwork with many colours and patterns.

We continue to involve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, practices and values in our activities and teachings at StoryHouse Alexandria!

Celebrating NAIDOC week 2026 at StoryHouse Alexandria! 🖤💛❤️

Ms Nancy facilitated an interactive art activity inspired by the book ‘Big Rain Coming’ by Katrina Germain.

Children excitedly watched the rain in their own outdoor play area, listened attentively to the story and then created some beautiful artworks!

We continue to involve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, practices and values in our activities and teachings at StoryHouse Alexandria!

Story House Alexandria is proudly cheering on England in our World Cup celebrations!⚽️
With many of our children coming from the UK, Ms. Nancy baked a traditional British bread and butter pudding alongside the children. Together they measured, mixed, and created a delicious classic while exploring British culture through hands-on learning.

Our little learners were delighted to welcome Jeral Puppets for an interactive puppet show filled with laughter, music, and imagination. The children were engaged from beginning to end, building confidence, language skills, and creativity through the joy of storytelling.
