Celebrating our Dad’s and Grandfathers and the special people in our children’s lives 🩵
The children were so happy to share our Bush Learning Centre space with their Dads today, digging,constructing, problem solving, hypothesising and simply playing in nature whilst building on so many skills.
Meanwhile other children made mud cakes, balanced on tree stumps, climbed, skipped and bush track walked.

NATIONAL CHILD PROTECTION WEEK: 6th - 12th SEPT 2026

Little Safety Detectives thank you for coming to our service and sharing some very important life lessons around safety and child protection topics with our children!
I highly recommend that all ECEC services’ book an incursion with Little Safety Detectives. Having an actual policing and detective work background, the highly trained and in tuned officers that deliver this program truly connected with the children in a fun yet professional manner.
Our children were so engaged throughout the incursion session and particularly enjoyed using the props available throughout the session as they worked through the clues to draw conclusions around staying safe in a range of situations.
Our children are still talking about what safety messages they have now learnt, and hopefully will be able to use their knowledge to help them stay safe throughout their youth.

Jeans for Genes at GELC ☀️👖

Celebrating Jeans for Genes day, an annual charity event that raises money and awareness for children with genetic diseases, birth defects, and cancer.

Every year, all five of our class cohorts join together to create, decorate and collaborate using paint, glitter glue and various collage materials covering recycled pairs of jeans as we recognise this years’ event.

What a beautiful way to come together as a community 🤗

Celebrating identify, leadership, strength and a sustainable future.

This year’s NAIDOC Week theme, 50 Years of Deadly, celebrates a powerful milestone in the history of NAIDOC. It reflects the pride, strength and resilience of First Nations people and it points to a bright future ahead.

We were so lucky to enjoy a visit from the author of the ‘Luna Roo’ story ‘Adam Jackson’.

He read two of his books to our children and engaged a soccer game, just like in the story!

‘Luna Roo The Kangaroo baller’ was featured for ‘National Simultaneous Storytime’.

The National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is an annual event organized by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). It brings millions of participants together to read a single Australian picture book at the exact same time across schools, libraries, and homes.
