Proud to be teaching Boxing classes at AF Earlwood now. When it comes to physical and mental fitness, boxing is where it's at. While physically stimulating, it also requires a lot of mental engagement to manage coordination, agility, and reaction, doing things "against" your instincts. This combination not only trains your muscles and cardiovascular system, but also your mental muscles such as the prefrontal cortex, your brain's CEO.

I've have recently delved into the concept of neurogenesis – the process by which our brains generate new neurons.
Whether anecdotal or not, I have personally experienced a range of positive changes by applying some principles that are supposed improve neurogenesis, which I would like to share with you:
1. Stress Management: One noticeable change has been my ability to handle stressful situations with greater clarity and calm.
2. Enhanced Sleep: Another significant shift has been in my sleep quality. I find myself falling asleep faster and enjoying deeper, more restorative slumber.
3. Physical and Mental Well-Being: On the whole, I feel physically and mentally better. The subtle improvements have added up, leaving me feeling more focused, energetic, and ready to take on the day.
