Had such an awesome time presenting 'the Art of Mindful Singing ' at Ashfield Library today! Easily the most rewarding workshop I've ever given. The feedback was so enthusiastic and encouraging! It's really heartwarming to know that these wonderful kids were picking up what I was putting down.

I just completed 'An Audience with Liz Jackson Hearns hosted by Vocal Health Education. This workshop on how to support gender diverse singers goes beyond basic 'tips and tricks' for teaching transgender voices. Instead, Liz encourages teachers to go much deeper, assessing their own voice habits and where they may have come from as a starting point. I can't wait to take her 8 week Personal Development course in March!

I've been exploring mindfulness through the lens of singing (and singing through the lens of mindfulness) for many years and am so excited to share what a wonderful combination they are! Was cleaning out my studio and found this relic! The vision statement I wrote for my business course, shortly before starting Next Level Vocals, more than a decade old now. 🥰 I remember that my peers wrote a lot about numbers and profit margins 😆 and here's me just trying to find a way to help people 'love singing, love learning and love themselves'

I feel like I could have written this yesterday. I'm so proud that this little business of mine is still kicking on all these years later. That I still hold these values. That I'm still striving each day to be the teacher and human this younger Alicia also wanted to be. 🌈✨

I'm thrilled to be teaming up with Inner West Council Library and History again to present ✨ Song Writing Springboards! ✨This free, 2 hr workshop is all about getting your songwriting flow on!

We're going to explore how to find that delightful state where songwriting just flows. That state where the outside world ceases to exist and you lose track of time. This flow-state is for everyone, not just virtuoso musicians or people with 'x' amount talent or musical knowledge. So if you're a budding songwriter, dabbling in the art of songwriting, or a more seasoned writer wanting to find their mojo, this workshop is for you.

As part of their youth program, this is aimed at ages 12-24. (But keep your eyes out for future iterations for all ages in the future. I can already tell that this workshop's too fun to only do once.)
