From cardboard and paper to recycled containers, the children transformed everyday materials into planets, stars, and a whole universe of imagination. 🌍☀️🪐

This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, curiosity, teamwork, and environmental awareness while making learning about space exciting and meaningful. 🌱💫

Head on over to Oatley West Public School this weekend for the annual community festival! This year, we celebrate the 45th anniversary of this family friendly event.

This festival will be running this weekend only on Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm, offering a range of free family friendly fun.

The Secret to School Readiness Isn't What You Think

As part of our Emotional Intelligence series, we've explored the importance of self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills in early childhood.

While many people associate school readiness with learning letters, numbers, and writing names, research shows that emotional and social skills are just as important for a successful transition to school.

Children who can: ✨ Manage their emotions ✨ Build positive relationships ✨ Communicate their needs ✨ Follow routines ✨ Adapt to new situations ✨ Show confidence and resilience are better equipped to embrace the opportunities and challenges of school life.

At Whizz Kidzz ELC, our experienced educators intentionally support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development through meaningful play-based learning experiences. Every day, we help children build the skills they need to become confident, capable, and lifelong learners.

💭 A question for yourself:

Before asking, "Can my child write their name?"

Also ask, ✔ Can they ask for help? ✔ Can they manage disappointment? ✔ Can they make and maintain friendships? ✔ Can they confidently try new things?

Because school readiness is about more than academics. It's about helping children thrive.

What's happening in our community? 🎸🪕🎷🥁

Every Thursday until the 10th of September, Oatley Library is hosting Muisc House, a fun music session for children 8months -

Music acts as a natural bridge that connects children. It builds empathy, teaches teamwork through shared rhythm, and fosters a sense of community. When kids sing, clap, or play instruments together, they tune into each other's actions and emotions.

Each session is free and occurs every Thursday between the times 1pm - 2pm!

​This year for Book Week, everyone at Whizz Kidzz ELC Beverly Hills went all out to celebrate the magic of reading! 📚 Heart, soul, and endless creativity went into transformation day as our amazingly talented preschoolers spent so much time decorating their room with a special Toy Story 5 theme!

​From favorite storybooks to bringing beloved characters to life, our little explorers showed us just how powerful imagination can be. We are so proud of all their hard work! 🧸 Woody, Buzz, and the whole gang would definitely approve! 💚⭐
