Our Year 9 Commerce students put their entrepreneurial skills to the test at this year's Market Day, applying their classroom learning in an authentic business setting.

From developing business ideas and managing finances to creating marketing campaigns and engaging customers, students worked collaboratively to bring their ventures to life. The marketplace was filled with tasty products, creative promotions and impressive business problem solving on the go.

As part of the project, students explored Corporate Social Responsibility and with great success on the day, students donated $1,000 to Hornsby Women's Shelter, while also gaining insight into real-world operations by paying tax on their profits.

Congratulations to our Commerce students on their outstanding efforts and to the teaching team for supporting this meaningful learning experience.

Ravenswood is proud to share that our Senior School Dance Company - Jazz group has been selected to perform their routine 'Thriller' choreographed by Emily Rich, Ravenswood Dance Teacher and Alumni, in the prestigious Dance of Champions by Sydney Eisteddfod.

Our Year 9 students engaged in a meaningful Social Justice Day, hearing from Compassion, Wesley Mission, The Salvation Army and Days for Girls about the impact of community service and advocacy.
The day concluded with students assembling sanitary kits to support young women around the world, turning learning into practical action. The girls were particularly moved by the presentation from Days for Girls, leaving with the shared belief, 'that every girl deserves access to menstrual health, dignity, education and opportunity. period.'

🎉 100 Days of Kindy 🎉
Monday was a monumental day for our Kindergarten students as they marked 100 wonderful days as Ravenswood girls. From lawn games and cup construction challenges to numerical dance parties and a 100-number scavenger hunt, the day was packed with fun. A special visit from Ms Guy to present certificates was the perfect finishing touch to a memorable celebration.

The entire Ravenswood community wishes to congratulate Principal Mrs Sue Floro on her richly deserved recognition from The Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales.

On Friday evening, President of the Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales Dr Frederick Osman FTGN awarded a Fellowship to Mrs Floro – an award which acknowledges outstanding educators who have made major contributions both within their mainstream sphere of work and more broadly across the profession.

Since its founding in 1891, The Teachers’ Guild of NSW has endeavoured to provide educational practitioners opportunities for professional development within their own profession.

Congratulations to our 11th Principal Mrs Floro, who perfectly embodies our School motto, inspiring students and staff to strive for Semper ad meliora.

Congratulations to 2025 Alumni and HSC Visual Arts student Priscilla Lam on her incredible achievement!

Check out this inspiring interview with Priscilla as she discusses her ARTEXPRESS 2026 featured artwork, which was selected as one of just 51 outstanding works from more than 9,000 HSC Visual Arts submissions across NSW.

ARTEXPRESS is an annual showcase celebrating exemplary artworks from the previous year's Visual Arts graduates. This interview offers an opportunity to revisit Priscilla's ARTEXPRESS journey as she reflects on the creative process behind her work, 'Signal Lost' and shares her aspirations for the future. Priscilla is currently pursuing an artistic route, as a student studying a Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design), Design and Visual Communications at the University of Sydney.

Our Year 9 German students recently swapped the classroom for an authentic cultural experience at Munich Brauhaus in The Rocks, where they put their German language skills to the test!

From ordering Limo, Cola und Wasser in German to tasting traditional favourites including giant Brezeln, schnitzel, sausages, pork knuckle and crispy pork belly, students enjoyed a delicious insight into German culture. It didn’t stop there, the live accordion music had everyone singing and dancing (with a few brave students even trying the accordion themselves), before finishing with a sweet treat of Apfelstrudel mit Eis.
