Day 30 (a few days late)

I couldn’t bring myself to post a few days ago—I was too sad. I had been so hopeful for good news, but things didn’t go the way I expected, and the disappointment hit hard.

I needed time to process… and now, I see things more clearly.

Looking back, I realise this was always part of God’s plan. Even in the moments of uncertainty, He is still working things out for my good.

This journey has been tough, and honestly, I don’t like making my goals so public. I’ve always preferred to share only after I’ve succeeded. But something in me knew I needed to document this process...not just the wins, but the setbacks too.

Because faith isn’t just about celebrating the victories, it’s about trusting through the struggles.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." – Jeremiah 29:11-13

The advice I'd give my younger self, exactly a ago…

I know some people may not agree with what I say about investing in your business & yourself is better than profit. Let me clarify that profit is amazing, and it's what we should all aim for. But instead of keeping the money in our bank account, we should use it to buy assets. Assets doesn't just mean a physical business, or things, it simply means "anything" that can make us more money.

I used to save and keep my money in the bank account, and spending on "liabilities" (things I wanted but lost value over time) rather than assets. I'd do a lot of the business stuff myself because I thought no one can do it better than me…. That was just plain STUPIDITY…Even after a period of burn-out, I still didn't learn my lesson, I still did a lot of the things myself.

As I look around, people who are functioning at a very high level… they may have had their fair share of hard work and grinding but every single one of them leveraged their time and money to make their business greater that can afford the time freedom.

So if I had to go back in time and give myself a single advice on 18/2/24, I'd say: Make the leap, invest in your business and yourself even if it compromises profitability.

Who knows… maybe you went through all of that so you can show people that anyone can achieve what they put their minds to. 💡✨

How do you stay consistent on IG?

And this is my roadmap:

1️⃣ Know exactly who you want to attract – Jayne knew she wanted to stand out, so even though she can still do both hair and makeup, on social media, she strategically positioned herself as a hairstyling expert. And by the way, you can still be amazing at both—it really depends on your goals and WHO your ICA (Ideal Customer Avatar) is. 🎯

2️⃣ Be who you want to be NOW – Most people who want to attract high-end clients think they should start by charging high-end prices. But the truth is, you can’t do that until you are perceived as a high-end artist. So in the meantime, whoever it is that you want to be, you need to BE that person now. In the way you dress, in the way you communicate, the way you show up, and the way you run your business. Be that person NOW! 💫

3️⃣ Invest now for a good return tomorrow – Whatever effort and investment you put into social media today will only give you a good return 2–3 months from now. You can’t expect quick wins. Lower your expectations, stay consistent, and you’ll see that the hard work you put in months ago will start paying off in 💰 as bookings roll in.

I know some people say social media feels like another full-time job. But you need to be strategic when marketing yourself on social media. You can’t just post for the sake of posting, you need to be intentional. Because posting on purpose is what will actually help you reach your goals.

Sometimes my reels don’t get high engagement, and that’s okay! Because as long as I’m intentional with my message, that’s what matters. In fact, some of my lowest-viewed content converted people into my high-ticket offers. 📈
