We heard about Leigh Hobbs last year, this year we will talk to the Children's Laureate himself.

What a great conference! For so many attending today the session run by Laurine Croasdale was incredibly interesting. As a representative of The Australian Children’s Laureate she talked about the role of the Laureate - that being to to promote the importance of reading, creativity and story in the lives of young Australians.
Leigh Hobbs is the Australian Children's Laureate for 2016-2017.
What a great ambassador - his personal goal is to promote a love of libraries...and also Librarians and Teacher-Librarians!
Go to the website and definitely use Leigh Hobbs in your teaching program.
