💛 R U OK? Day at Play Park 💛

Today, our children explored a very important message — checking in with the people around us and showing that we care. 🌈

Through conversations and experiences, we talked about how a simple “R U OK?” can help someone feel cared for, supported and listened to.

We loved hearing the children share their own ideas:

📚✨ Book Week at Play Park! ✨📚

What an amazing Book Week we had! Our children absolutely loved celebrating the wonderful world of stories, books and imagination. 💛

Throughout the week, we enjoyed dressing up as our favourite characters, sharing special books from home, creating our own characters and stories, and exploring lots of fun literacy experiences together.

The children enjoyed Book Week so much that one week simply wasn’t enough… so we extended our celebration for one more week! 🎉

It was wonderful to see their growing love of books as they shared stories with friends, explored new characters and used their imaginations to become storytellers themselves.

Thank you to all our families for joining in, bringing books from home and supporting our Book Week fun! 💕

💙 Happy Father’s Day from Play Park! 💙

What a beautiful afternoon celebrating the wonderful daddies!

Our Father’s Day Afternoon Tea was filled with lots of smiles, laughter, cuddles and special moments shared together. The children were so excited to welcome their loved ones into Play Park and spend this special time together.

A big thank you to all of our families who joined us and helped make the afternoon so memorable. We hope all of our amazing dads had a wonderful Father’s Day! 💙

🦷 Dental Health Week at Play Park! 🦷

This week, we had a very special visit from Dr. Yuenee from Crest Dental Studio! 😁

The children learned all about keeping their teeth healthy by practising the correct way to brush their teeth, exploring the difference between “everyday” healthy foods and “sometimes” treats, and asking lots of thoughtful questions about looking after their smiles.

To make the week even more special, each child had the opportunity to participate in a dental health check-up, helping to build confidence and positive experiences around visiting the dentist.

A huge thank you to Crest Dental Studio and Dr. Yuenee for sharing your time, knowledge, and kindness with our children. We truly appreciate your support in helping our little learners develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime! 💙🪥🦷

📕 Our First Published Book 📕

Out Wattle children have published their very first book! After spending July exploring the fascinating world if insects, the children created their own insect book to share what they had learned with our Play Park community. They even made the book using recycled Woolworth paper bags, turning every materials into something special while learning about sustainability! ♻️

Today we celebrate all the amazing mums and special women who fill children’s lives with love, care, and kindness every single day.

🐣✨ Our Egg Hatching Journey ✨🐣

Over the last two weeks, the children have been on a very special journey—watching our eggs hatch into beautiful baby chicks!

From patiently waiting and observing tiny cracks appear, to witnessing the magical moment each chick hatched, the children were able to experience the wonder of life up close. This hands-on experience supported their understanding of growth, change, and the life cycle in a meaningful and memorable way.

As the days went by, the children loved checking in on the chicks, noticing how they grow stronger, fluffier, and more active each day. Through caring for them, the children also developed a sense of responsibility, empathy, and connection with living things.

Of course, we couldn’t forget to give our chicks some very special names 💛

Now, our little chicks have returned to the farm where they will continue to grow—and while we won’t be able to see them again, we will always remember this precious experience of witnessing their life cycle from egg to chick.

We are so proud of how gentle, curious, and caring the children have been throughout this experience. What a beautiful way to explore nature and learning together 🌱

🌈 Holi Celebration at Play Park! 🎉

Today, we celebrated Holi – the Festival of Colours at Play Park!
The children had so much fun exploring bright colours, laughing together, and enjoying this joyful cultural experience.

Holi is a beautiful celebration that brings people together and reminds us of the happiness that comes from sharing moments with friends. Seeing the children’s smiles, colourful hands, and endless giggles made the day extra special!

Thank you to our families for sending spare clothes and supporting this fun (and very colourful!) experience. 💛

Our educators recently completed our annual First Aid and CPR training on site. Regular refresher training helps us remain confident, calm, and responsive when it matters most.
