A beautiful new addition to Toddlers Ink Ashfield 💙
This week, our centre was transformed with a stunning new mural by talented artist Bev Garces.
The artwork represents Water Dreaming and the sacred waterways that flow through Bidgal Country. The winding lines symbolise the rivers and creeks connecting the land, people and sea, while the circles represent sacred waterholes — places of gathering, ceremony, healing, storytelling and knowledge.
The beautiful shades of blue reflect the movement of water from rain, through creeks and rivers, and out to the ocean — reminding us of the connection between water, Country, community and all living things.
At Toddlers Ink Ashfield, we believe our learning environments should help children develop a sense of belonging, connection and respect for the Country on which they learn and play.
We are so proud to have this meaningful artwork become part of our centre and something our children, families and educators can learn from and enjoy every day.
