Today is the Anniversary of NGORCHEN KUNGA ZANGPO (1382-1456), one of the most influential and prominent teachers of the Sakya school. Demonstrating remarkable qualities from a young age, NGORCHEN was ordained at nine, and later founded Ngor monastery, which became the seat of the Ngor sub-lineage of the Sakya school. He ordained over 12,000 monks, gave Dharma collections to many, beginning an excellent lineage of accomplished masters, prominent scholars and great practitioners that continues to this day🙏🙏🙏

Tomorrow is the 50th Birthday of our beloved teacher, Aenpo Kyabgon Rinpoche. We invite you to join Kyegu monks, nuns, friends and members of KBI, in reciting his Long Life Prayer with the heartfelt wish for his Good Health and Long Life 🙏🙏🙏

First day of the Grand Sarvavid Mahavairocana which began yesterday at Kyegu Monastery, Kamrau, 27-31 May 2026

The Sarvavid Vairocana(Kunrig Nampar Nangdze Drubcho)ritual ceremony will be performed at Kyegu Monastery, Kamrau, from May 27-31(11th-15th day of Saga Dawa) This 5 day ceremony is one of the main practises of the Sakya tradition, having been performed continuously for many centuries. It is particularly helpful for the deceased, purifying negative deeds and saving beings from the lower realms.
