Two weeks ago, fathers and their children spent time together before school designing drink coasters. These coasters serve as a symbol of the warm conversations and meaningful connections that begin now and will continue to grow as your child journeys through life. Our hope is that your relationship grows to be as sweet as a hot chocolate and as comforting as a warm cup of tea/coffee, but, most importantly, that the conversations you share never run dry! We look forward to welcoming fathers and their children again for our Joseph Fatherhood Initiative in October for a night of handball, games and pizza!

Our Toddlers celebrated National Week of Deaf People by engaging with Queensland’s State Library Auslan-In Language Story Time. Together we watched, listened and read along to the humorous story by Shaw Millward titled ‘Koalas Like To…’.
Guided by Ms Connie and their parents, we had rich discussions about deafness; exploring the nature, effects and the strategies people use to communicate. We also discussed how we can foster inclusion by learning a new language ourselves. The Toddlers learnt to sign the words ‘koala’, ‘leaves’ and ‘trees’, as well as how to applaud one another and express ‘thanks’ using Auslan.
We look forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to Toddler Tales next term as we continue our school readiness program for the Kindergarten cohorts of 2027 and beyond.

This term, Year 3 have been learning about natural features in our environment and exploring the significance of landmarks around the world. They discovered how special places can be recognised and protected as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. To showcase their learning, students designed and created their own models and dioramas of a chosen UNESCO site, proudly sharing their creativity and design talents with one another.

During our Year 1 Retreat, students had the wonderful opportunity to learn about St Francis of Assisi during his Jubilee Year.

Students discovered how St Francis cared deeply for all of God’s creation and the importance of looking after our world.

Students planted their very own seed and decorated a special pot to take home. Through this experience, our students were inspired to follow in St Francis’ footsteps and become caring stewards of creation 💚🌿

We are artists in Year 2! 🎨🖌️

In Art today, Year 2 students were working on their surreal creatures made by combining parts of different animals. Students used a varity of colours and textures and added habitat elements to complete their imaginative artworks.

Last week, Stage 3 students were lucky to welcome Ausgrid to our school for an engaging Electrical Safety Week incursion! 🔌

As part of our current Science unit, students have been exploring all things materials-related, including how different materials are used and why certain materials are suitable for particular purposes.
