2026 Family Partnerships Excellence Awards



The Council of Catholic School Parents NSW Family Partnerships Excellence Awards are open to all eligible NSW Catholic schools. Apply now for the chance to receive a $5000 grant to continue a project or initiative that focuses on family engagement and building community in your school. Up to $10,000 in total available!



How do you enter? It's easy!



1. Complete the downloadable submission form on the CCSP website here: https://www.ccsp.catholic.edu.au/awards. Respond to 6 criteria about your school's initiative.

2. Complete the online entry form, have the application endorsed by the school principal and P&F/parent body chair, then upload your submission form and any supporting files.

CCSP’s annual Family Partnership Excellence Awards are annual grants offered to NSW Catholic schools that show exemplary practice in family, school and community partnerships.

The first place award recipient will receive $5000 to support the further development of an existing initiative which aims to build parent and community engagement through collaborative partnerships.

Awards open on 20 July 2026 and are due to close at 5pm on 16 October 2026.

The Council of Catholic School Parents is hosting a second conference on Saturday 24 October, this time supported by Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools. The venue is Twin Towns Service Club in Tweed Heads.

The day will include expert speakers Daniel Principe, Gen Muir and Karen Young, talking about topics such as cybersafety, respectful relationships, dealing with kids’ anxiety, and managing big feelings.

It’s going to be a great day of relaxing and eating with other parents, listening and learning, connection and empowerment – all for only $30 per ticket.

More than 150 parents and carers attended our latest Family and Parent Council event, featuring renowned parenting expert Michelle Mitchell. Michelle shared practical advice to help families support their children through friendship challenges and build stronger, healthier relationships.

Roydon Ng also spoke on behalf of Vinnies, while our Family Ambassadors helped welcome and support families throughout the evening. Over pizza, snacks and drinks, parents had the opportunity to connect, exchange insights and share their family experiences.

We would like to thank Principal Deborah Scollard and Nagle College for so warmly hosting the event. With attendance continuing to grow, FPC events are becoming bigger and better than ever!

CSPD families are invited to join widely respected parenting author, educator, and speaker Michelle Mitchell for our next Family and Parent Community event.

Michelle will share practical and reassuring strategies to help parents and carers strengthen communication with their children, support healthy friendships, and navigate the social and emotional challenges young people experience.

CSPD families are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from widely respected parenting author and educator Michelle Mitchell at our next Family Partnership Council event.

In this short video, Michelle reminds us that when our children are struggling, stepping towards them matters.

We may not always have the perfect words or know how to fix the situation. Often, what children need most is to know that a trusted adult is present, interested, and ready to listen.

Michelle will share more practical advice for supporting children and young people at our next parent event, Friendship Smart.

Do you know what the Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP) is and how it supports parents and carers in Catholic school communities?

CCSP plays an important role in representing the voice of families, advocating for parents and carers, and supporting stronger partnerships between home, school and the wider Catholic education community.
