Look out ,our Grevillea children proudly harvested carrots from the garden today. After carefully picking them, they brought their fresh produce to Di in the kitchen, where they helped wash and prepare them for a delicious, healthy snack.

π Happy Pride Month from Ekidnaπ
At Ekidna, we celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the unique qualities that make each person who they are. This Pride Month, we stand alongside our LGBTQIA+ community, families, children, and educators, embracing a world where everyone feels safe, valued, respected, and proud to be themselves.
Through kindness, acceptance, and belonging, we help create environments where every child can grow with confidence and know they are loved for exactly who they are.

Itβs Torres Strait Islander Flag Day, perfectly tying in with our Floral Friday celebrations. The children watched a traditional weaving clip before having a go themselves, using paper weaving to represent the colours of the flag.
We discussed how the blue represents the sea, the green represents the land, the black symbolises the Torres Strait Islander people, and the white Dhari (headdress) and star represent peace, spirituality, and the island groups of the Torres Strait.
