On 14th December, the children and educators at St Mary ELC, celebrated their Christmas party. The children had lots of fun engaging in art and craft activities, dancing to Christmas songs and getting a visit from Santa. We would like to wish all our friends and families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

School Photo Day!

We will be having our school photo day on the 15th December 2021. If you would like your child to take their photo, please let us know. We will also be providing you with a photo envelop that has all the packages to choose from. We will keep you updated for further information.

We would like to wish our families a beautiful Easter and a safe break with your loved ones. Please note that Friday 2/3/21 and Monday 5/4/21 is a public holiday. We will re-open on Tuesday 6/4/21.

On the 9th February, we made our very own sushi rolls using carrots, avocado, rice and seaweed sheets. First Mrs Daniella cooked the rice in the rice cooker. We waited for the rice to cook down, she then placed it into a bowl. Mrs Daniella shredded the carrots and cut thinly the avocado in slices. Each child took a turn at making their own sushi roll using the above food ingredients. The children felt the seaweed and described it as soft or scrunchy. They then placed the rice all over the seaweed patting it down gently, then they added their shredded carrots and slices of avocado, with Mrs Daniella's help they rolls it together making a sushi roll.

Our children have been focusing on using their creative arts through the Christmas Cheer. As per children's interests they wanted to make their own Christmas Stocking and hang it up for Santa. The children did a great job with using a variety of collage materials to decorate their Christmas stocking.

The St Mary ELC team made their own pizza using cheese, pizza sauce and pizza base. The children had so much fun making their own pizza where they used certain utensils to smoothen the pizza sauce onto their base of their pizza an used a pair of tongs to pick up the cheese and place it gently onto their base.

Today the children at St Mary Elc have been engaging in their new project of the month "Christmas". They have been using their creative arts to make wonderful Christmas balls to place on their tree and also their very own Snow man and Reindeers.

"F" is for Fish!!!!!!

The children at St Mary ELC have extended their interest and learning about our "Under the Sea" project by making the letter "F" for fish!. The children used all sort of collage materials to paste onto their letter and also identified the phonic sound of the letter "F". Great Job!
