Another cracking day at Sydney Olympic Park for the Junior School Athletics Carnival, held yesterday, 11 June.

Congratulations to Rice House, who claimed overall victory. However, the true winners of the day were the outstanding sportsmanship, house spirit and enthusiasm displayed by all students.

A huge congratulations to every student for their effort, teamwork and willingness to give their best.

Thank you also to our wonderful parent volunteers and dedicated staff, whose support and hard work helped make the day such a success.

What a day at the Senior Athletics Carnival!

Perfect weather, incredible spirit, and outstanding competition made for another memorable day at the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. A huge congratulations to Treacy House, who continued their dominance by claiming the title for an incredible 11th consecutive year.

While the results were impressive, the real highlights of the day were the sportsmanship, enthusiasm, and participation shown by all students. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to such a fantastic carnival.

The St Pius X Adventurous Journey for Duke of Edinburgh was completed Friday 5 June – Sunday 7 June in Namadgi National Park, south of Canberra. We had 47 participants, led by Outward Bound Australia, for a three-day hiking preparation and overnight journey.

This was a unique experience as we were completely self-sufficient in a remote area, with temperatures between 0 and 13 degrees. Our longest part of the journey was 10 km and we travelled complete with provisions, gas burners, a wok and a billy. Genie and Doug joined us and were instrumental in digging holes for our convenience and sanitising afterwards.

We learned a lot from our Outward Bound instructors and especially thank Ms Ramsey. Ms Doyle and Mr Munday for joining us.
