Today we celebrated the remarkable achievements of our students at the Celebration of Learning, held in the Pat Reilly Concert Hall at The Concourse, Chatswood.
Guests were entertained by our talented Year 10 Elective Drama students and the Student College Rock Band, who showcased their creativity and musical talent.
We were also honoured to hear from Mr Matt Buskariol (Class of 2015), who reflected on the important role St Pius X College played in preparing him for the next stage of his life and career.
Congratulations to all of our students on their hard work, dedication and achievements throughout Semester 1. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and look forward to seeing your continued success.

Congratulations to the winning stories and authors for the 2026 Microfiction Competition!
This year’s competition drew over 200 total entries from across the school, with Year 12’s English Extension 2 student Joshua Booth taking out first prize. There were $800 worth of prizes given out to the successful authors, with further prizes to come when the final book is published later in Term 3. This competition could not run to the same level without the generous support of the College P&F, who one again donated our prize pool.
This year students were asked to write a 100-word story containing the action of beholding and the word "portrait".

What a way to finish!
Our Year 8 students enjoyed a perfect bluebird day for their final day on the slopes. After a week of building skills and confidence, many were confidently riding T-bars and chairlifts and making the most of every run. A memorable end to an amazing experience, and no doubt a well-earned sleep before the journey home tomorrow.

Year 8 Ski Trip Day 1
What a day! Our Year 8 students had a fantastic day skiing at Perisher and Blue Cow, with students of all levels taking on the slopes and doing an incredible job as the conditions became increasingly cold and windy throughout the day.
There was plenty of perseverance, patience, resilience and brilliance on display from all the boys. They were awesome, as were our incredible staff.
After a big day on the mountain, everyone was very happy to be back at the accommodation, warm, well-fed and ready to do it all again...
Bring on Day 2!

St Pius X Footballers Train with Tottenham Hotspur Coaches
Through our partnership with Sydney FC, a group of St Pius X footballers had the opportunity to train with Tottenham Hotspur coaches at Oxford Falls.
Tottenham Hotspur are currently in Sydney as part of their pre-season tour of Australia and New Zealand ahead of their match against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday night.
The players took part in a Tottenham style academy training session, experiencing some of the coaching methods used within the club's youth development program. It was a valuable learning experience and a chance to train at a professional level.
The students enjoyed the session and appreciated the opportunity to work with coaches from one of the world's leading football clubs. We thank Sydney FC and Tottenham Hotspur for making the experience possible.

Our Year 8s have made it safely to Jindabyne.
After a few stops along the way to stretch their legs, they’ve settled in, geared up, and enjoyed a hearty dinner.
Now it’s time for an early night and plenty of rest before hitting the snow for their first big day tomorrow!
