The best time to start child care
I have met many parents and child care educators. Even though it is a popular idea to send an one year old to child care so mum can start working more hours, I still believe that the best time to start child care depends on each individual child. Many children who adapted well to the child care environment are usually more easy going, calm and independent. Highly sensitive children who are slow warmer and more attached to carers, would benefit more from participating play group with parents in the early stage and slowly transition into preschool when reaching three to four year old.

We have been to the parent toddler Montessori program twice now, and I have to say it is a very interesting environment for the toddlers to explore and learn. At the same time, I notice some limits of the Montessori program already...

This is the second book I read about Montessori Education. The first one was The Absorbent Mind, written by the founder Maria Montessori. I find this book more practical to set up a Montessori home environment for my little one. It really changes some of my understanding and belief of toddlers.

My son and I love Ditty Bird (DB) musical books. He always enjoys playing the button and singing along with the melody. Highly recommend to parents of babies and toddlers.
