What stays with you after the final pitch?

For one of our Futura Remix winners, the hackathon was more than the competition itself. It was the experience of building under pressure, working through feedback, learning from the people around him and seeing how far an idea could develop in a short time.

🎥 In this short reflection, he shares his experience joining the hackathon, and his takeaway from the competition.

Congratulations again, and thank you for sharing the experience with us. 🧡

Sometimes the strongest outcome isn’t just the result. It’s what you now know you can do. 🚀

A National Final takes more than finalist teams on stage.

The MentorME Futura Remix Hackathon 2026 became a national journey through collaboration from people and organisations across four states. They helped with bringing participants into the room, supporting local delivery, sharing industry experience, challenging projects and helping teams turn early ideas into work they could test and present.

Across the State Rounds, our co-hosting clubs, and supporting partners helped us reach participants and bring each local event to life:

QLD: QUT TECH, UQVISA, and SOL Edu
ACT: ANU VSA, and HanoiHolic
NSW: SOVIS - UNSW
VIC: AIESEC RMIT, and Women in Tech - Victoria University, VISAR RMIT and RMIT SWITCH.

Alongside them were the professionals who stepped in as mentors and judges. Their contribution was practical: supporting project development, challenging assumptions, sharing industry perspective and assessing what teams ultimately built and presented.

And there were many more hands behind the journey: local delivery teams, organisers, community supporters and everyone who helped with outreach, catering, logistics, networking and the details that allowed participants to focus on the work.

That collective effort helped create the environment for 120 participants across four states to build, receive professional feedback and put their capabilities into practice.

We would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to every partner, student association, mentor, judge, sponsor, supporter and team member who contributed along the way. Thank you so much for helping us create an environment where participants could build, test, improve, present, and leave with more than a weekend experience - valuable real experience and project evidence for their career journey.

The National Final may close this chapter, but the relationships and impact built through it continue.

👉 Thank the organisations and people behind the Futura Remix journey, and stay connected with MentorME for what comes next.

From Online and State rounds to the National stage, here are the teams recognised at the 2026 National Final. 🏆

What started as ideas across the Online Round, QLD, ACT, NSW and VIC became working prototypes, tested assumptions, stronger pitches and project stories teams could stand behind.

Today’s results recognise more than what happened on stage. They reflect the problem insight, build quality, ownership, teamwork and communication developed throughout the Futura Remix journey.

Congratulations to our National Final award recipients:

🏆 National Champion:
SR3D Clan from ACT

🥈 National Runner-Up:
Three and A Half from NSW

💻 Best Technical Ex*****on Award:
Excelerate from Online Round

🌏 Real-World Impact & Adoption Award:
Exit Music (for a film) from NSW

💙 LinkedIn People’s Choice Award:
Three and A Half from NSW

Congratulations not only to the award recipients, but to every finalist and participant who took an idea far enough to build, test, explain and improve it. A project does not need to win an award to create useful evidence. Every participant leaves with something they can speak about: what they built, how they contributed, the feedback they worked through and what they would improve next.

And a heartfelt thank you to our mentors, judges, speakers, partners, local delivery teams and supporters who contributed their time, effort, and support throughout the hackathon. You helped make the projects stronger, and helped create an experience participants can carry beyond the event.

👉 Congratulate the teams, and stay connected with MentorME for more career-readiness opportunities.
