Our Athletics team had a great day out at yesterday’s Conference Championship. The team braved the cold to come away with some fantastic results across a range of events, including plenty of podium finishes. We wish all students who progressed to the next level all the best at the SCS Championship on August 28. Well done!

OLR will be hosting a PYJAMA DAY on Friday 7 August to raise awareness and support the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.
Students are invited to come to school dressed in their pyjamas with enclosed shoes (runners).

Students in Kindergarten to Year 2 are asked to bring in donations of:
small tins of tuna
muesli bars (no nuts)
large zip lock bags

Years 3-6 are asked to donate
2 Minute noodles/cup of soups
popper juices
fruit cups
individual packets of chips, biscuits or sultanas.

These donations can be taken to your child’s classroom from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August. These items will be packaged together to form snack packs and distributed to those in need via the St Vincent de Paul Van services.

Today we celebrated Grandparents Day, a day filled with love, gratitude and connection. From our opening prayer and assembly to Morning Tea and classroom activities, grandparents and students shared meaningful moments throughout the day.

We ended the celebration with a picnic lunch on the playground, where families enjoyed time together in the sunshine. It was especially heartwarming to see our community embrace children whose grandparents couldn’t attend, ensuring everyone felt included.

Year 1 enjoying the new bubblers with refill and drink stations. One student said the water tastes lovely and fresh - big approval from our little ones.

After weather delays postponed our carnival, Kindergarten and Year 1 were finally able to complete their running events, showcasing wonderful enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The entire school also participated in the novelty events, contributing to a day filled with community spirit and celebration. Congratulations to Terry on achieving overall first place. Thank you Mr Calleja and all the staff for a wonderful event and to all the parents who came along to support and cheer.
