Harry's love for Facts of Countries, and the love for their Flag

24/08/2026

We came across $20 Canadian dollars!
(Currently converts to AUD $20.33)

So, between a few other people donating some currencies lately, and what his parents & grandparents have collected over their years, it appears as though Harry will be inheriting another collection and adding to it as well, just to compliment that flag collection he already has!

He's super invested!
(Pun intended πŸ˜† 🀣)

Our beautiful friend Antoinette messaged to see if we wanted some world cup flags across a banner.
Her work place had these for display, and now that the world cup fever is over, she was sure that Harry would enjoy them.
And right she was!
Harry never gets tired of his collecting, and we all love the contributing from everyone near and far. Thank you Antoinette!
We picked up this banner of flags 2 weeks ago from her place, and it so happened to be her birthday that day.. so a very happy birthday πŸ₯³ πŸŽ‰ 🎈 to you Antoinette, it's funny that you gifted these flags on your day, when we should have brought you πŸŽ‚ cake instead πŸ˜†
Happy birthday month to you!

Watch at your leisure, this video goes for 15 minutes, listing all the flags received recently from the strand of nations for the FIFA World Cup via John’s Men Hairstyling

What a collection!!
Many times we drove past John's Men Hair Stylist in Maloney Street, and this is what Harry saw every time.
He was in awe!
We stopped by one day, (in the middle of FIFA World Cup weeks) and the staff were super impressed with Harry's interest in the flags/ countries, as you could imagine..
Yes, he named them all in front of everyone.. jaws dropped.
John was ready to give these flags straight over, but we said keep them until world cup fever is over.
Today, we stopped by at Mascot for a haircut, they recognised Harry immediately and Harry was handed a big bag of those flags..
We thank you so much John, John N Maryam, his wife Maryam, and son Nibiru, also to Sani and Sam for your amazing hospitality!
We will have to make a different post listing all the countries, thank you again

At this time around the world, there are flags flags flags everywhere with FIFA World Cup 2026! 🌎 ⚽️

Every game, (well, apart from one or two) Harry was up to watch his favourite sport, connecting his love for the world, countries, flags, soccer trivia and the general atmosphere of these soccer games (from the comfort of his home under a cosy blanket)! πŸ˜†
Everywhere we go, we have seen strings of flags across buildings supporting the game.

It's been a great time!

A few weeks ago, we received a package from our dear friend Naomi Kalogiros who went to great lengths to get the following flags for Harry’s collection!
How wonderful to now have;
*Norfolk Island
*State flag of Queensland, and the
*Unofficial flag of Lord Howe Island
This is amazing, and we thank you very much
We sent our thank you via messenger chat

We met Alison Evans via a page as she was looking to move along a few old (mostly) Australian flags that originally belonged to her mother.
Of course we put our hand up to add these to Harry's collection!
Thank you Alison, and Alison's mumma.
Please know that these flags will now be looked after and treasured.

You really aren't going to believe this, but...

We have just received our very first flag from...

Of all the flags for Harry's collection that we didn't already have, we can now proudly say that China is finally here!

A huge thank you to dearest Christine Yee, who made sure her brother Eric and his wife Lily picked one up during their travels in China.
(And apparently it wasn't easy to find one either).

So now we can officially say that our Chinese family, who travelled to China, brought Harry back a Chinese flag from China... that was really made in China! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³πŸ˜‚

What a special addition to the collection.
Thank you, Christine, Eric and Lily!
