Omar was skimming through book cabinet and found " All about my amazing body " - He was absorbed , reading interesting facts about Human anatomy - He was so excited to contain as he was sharing his new found knowledge with his friends and the educator.
As a educator I have a passion for teaching children to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.

Walk in nature provides opportunity to use senses enjoy the surroundings and connect with nature . Children learn to admire and respect the environment and make most of natural element play than manmade toys . ( Concept of natural play by early childhood theorist Frobel )
We brough our play dough , some animals , shells, wood chips and some Banksia tree seedpods to play and explore .

Harmony Week 2022 - Children were curious to discuss about their family and cultural backgrounds as we were making Harmony Day craft and started conversation about where their mum and Dad were living before coming to Australia.
L/O 1:4- Children learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect .
L/O 2:1-Children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation

Older children really love building blocks and often create something of their interest - This afternoon educator and children engaged in conversation about "Balance" - how to make the tall towers balance by using weight in right spots or directions . Intentional learning combined with child interest .

Children were engaged in conversation about Valentine's day and decided to make Valentine cards for their family members as they took craft materials and displayed creativity and worked on literacy through writing messages for their loved ones .

This afternoon children and educator engaged in conversation about healthy eating as they were eating their afternoon tea . Children were curious to talk about healthy and sometimes food and drink options as they shared their views.
