Today we farewell Clare. She has been a part of our OOSH for many years, often leading service delivery. She has made a significant contribution and has always been a pleasure to work with. We know she will continue to do amazing work as director at DPS OOSH.

Our library is a special place and a key part of why our students love reading. The physical spaces and thriving culture have been carefully developed over a number of years by Ms Favaloro and our library team. Given the extraordinary dedication over a number of years it is our great pleasure to announce Ms Favaloro has been appointed permanently to the RLPS team. Please join us in congratulating her on this most deserved appointment.

Congratulations James, winner of the Iron Cove Public Speaking competition for Stage 1. This is a difficult competition and it requires considerable talent and commitment to win. Well done.

This week KM learnt all about the journey of potatoes from ploughing the fields, planting and growing, to harvesting and getting them ready for the shops.

They then headed to our incredible veggie garden, lovingly cared for by Mr Watts, where we discovered some very special blue spuds!

They baked them with a little butter and enjoyed a delicious farm-to-table treat!

RLPS was one of only a few primary schools invited to the State Dance Festival at the Seymour Centre. As one of the last acts they finished the event with an outstanding display which reflected their huge talent and commitment. Congratulations and thank you as always to Mr Lye and Ms Negus for making it all happen.

Our choir was centre stage for a very entertaining night at the Sydney Town Hall. Congratulations students for demonstrating such polished performance skills in the 2026 Primary Prom.

Our thanks goes to Concord High School and Inquisitive Minds for hosting a small group of our exceptional Year 5 mathematicians today. We learned a lot, and enjoyed the challenges. The highlight was definitely taking out the record for creating the longest self supporting bridge!

It was also great to see the new building and have a peek at the amazing facilities that they have at the school now.
