The horrific shooting at Bondi Beach last night has left us heartbroken and deeply saddened, but it will not define us.
Instead, it will galvanize our efforts to build a more just, equitable, and peaceful society. This is the Australia we love and the Australia we want to live in.
We offer our deepest condolences to our friends in the Jewish community and all those affected, and we stand resolute in our opposition to racism and violence.
May we find strength in our collective resilience and care for each other.

Yay! Watermelon Jazz (the single) has just passed 1 million streams. Thanks for listening.
Each class children request to play the ukulele. Here a soloist is strumming a steady beat and playing a C chord to accompany our hello and goodbye song. Very sweet and so musical. Song is Ukubebe original ‘I Love to Play’ by Joanne Steel
Todders and tapping sticks
Integrating song, story, playing percussion. We love to use open ended props and resources so children can explore familiar material in new ways, and extend their creative ideas.
Today we used tapping sticks to ‘build a house’ as part of the story Bling Blang - book based on the song of the same name by Guthrie.
The children created various actions that matched the lyrics and rhythm patterns.
Of course sticks are also a great magic microphone to encourage singing and taking turns.
This version is a cover by the lovely Thanks to Milton early foundations for the photos from today’s classes.

Today the children had their first experience handling and playing a ukulele. They enjoyed learning the parts of the ukulele and learning how to hold it and even strum the strings. We play open strings and sing an echo style song in the key of C. It works beautifully.
