We thank Sean Butler for his incredible contribution as Founding Principal of Preston High School over the past seven years. His passion for public education was instrumental in establishing the school in 2019 and shaping its strong culture of high expectations, growth, and inclusion.

Preston High School has been partnered with the In2Science program since 2019. In this program students from university studying STEM come to mentor and encourage students to develop their STEM passion and options for university study. Congratulations to Preston’s Angela Watson who was nominated this year as an outstanding mentor teacher in the program.

The Ged Kearney scholars student leader team conducted a bake sale to raise funds for the UN goal of Elimination of Violence towards women and - with some other fundraising - raised over $2,600

Congratulations Andy Ye on being awarded the Class of 2027 Kwong Lee Dow Scholarship!
The Kwong Lee Dow is a two-year The University of Melbourne academic enrichment program designed to support high-achieving secondary students to reach their personal best. Through the program, Andy will take part in events and activities that will further broaden his academic and personal horizons (something Preston already does exceptionally well!).
This is a fantastic achievement for Andy. We also extend our congratulations to the other 10 applicants, all of whom submitted outstanding, high-quality applications - a wonderful reflection of the aspirations and talent within Cohort 2027!
