AHEPA Greek School provides a comprehensive learning program for the Greek Language and Culture in a supportive, safe and caring environment by adapting quality teaching practices to maximise student learning. AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL was established in 2006 and operates as an afternoon School on Mondays 4.30 – 7.30 pm at IVANHOE GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL, Marshall street, IVANHOE. The School offers tuition
in the Greek Language and Culture to Levels Prep – Year 12 and caters for students of all cultural backgrounds who are interested in learning the Greek language. Our school is a vibrant small language school that is enjoyed fully by students, teachers and parents. AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL provides a caring environment that encourages all children to value and respect themselves and others. We lead by example and we set out goals and objectives of high standards that reflect upon all the AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL population. We have developed a curriculum program covering the aspects of Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Thinking, Viewing, Singing, Greek Dancing as well as incorporating Greek Mythology and History. The curriculum is aligned with VELS and meets all essential progression measures and points. Our students feel safe and happy coming to school. They are engaged, they enjoy learning, and as a result, they develop positive social skills for the rest of their lives. Students benefit from a broad variety of activities in the classroom and appreciate undertaking special projects.
Το Ελληνικό Σχολείο ΑΧΕΠΑ ιδρύθηκε το 2006 και λειτουργεί στις εγκαταστάσεις του Ivanhoe Girls Grammar, στο 123 Marshal Street, Ivanhoe, κάθε Δευτέρα 4.30 -7.00 μμ.
Προσφέρει μαθήματα Ελληνικής γλώσσας για τις ηλικίες από Νήπια μέχρι και 6η Γυμνασίου. Το Αναλυτικό Πρόγραμμα διδασκαλίας είναι δομημένο σύμφωνα με τους κανόνες του Υπουργείου Εκπαίδευσης της Βικτώριας και περιλαμβάνει όλες τις μαθησιακές δεξιότητες όπως Ακρόαση, Ομιλία, Ανάγνωση και Γραφή.
Το σχολείο μας είναι μια μικρή και πολύ ζωντανή κοινωνία όπου δάσκαλοι και γονείς έχουμε ένα κοινό σκοπό, να διαπλάσουμε τον χαρακτήρα των παιδιών μας έτσι ώστε να αντανακλάται το ήθος τους, σε όλες τις πτυχές της ζωής τους.
Παράλληλα με την διδασκαλία της γλώσσας, τα παιδιά μαθαίνουν τις ελληνικές παραδόσεις, τα έθιμα, τα τραγούδια και τους χορούς μας, καθώς επίσης τα καθιερωμένα πρότυπα κοινωνικής συμπεριφοράς, όπως να σέβονται τον εαυτό τους, τους συνανθρώπους τους κ.ά.
Οι μαθητές του Ελληνικού Σχολείου ΑΧΕΠΑ αποκομίζουν πολλά οφέλη από ένα ποικίλο πεδίο δραστηριοτήτων που διευρύνεται κάθε χρόνο.
