Hello PNEPS community!

We are continuing our transition to Compass with almost all communication about student absences, student progress reports and newsletters being sent directly through the Compass app.

This term, we are now uploading excursion permission forms on to Compass.

That means all parents need to ensure they have downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, logged into Compass and checked any notifications about upcoming excursions for your child!

If you are having trouble logging into Compass, please come in and speak to our office staff, who will be able to assist.

Last week was Book Week at PNE. The theme for book week this year was Read, Inspire, Grow! We definitely achieved that with our school holding a book stall (thanks to Readings book shop), we had an author visit with Lucas Proudfoot, buddy reading and ended the week with our Character Dress-up Parade! Thank you to all the students (and parents!) who made a fantastic effort with all of the outfits. We had a great week at PNE!

Preston North East Primary School's new choir The Melody Makers had their first performance today at our Education Week Assembly. A big CONGRATULATIONS to all the students in the choir for their outstanding singing!

Celebrating our wonderful artists at PNE! Students in grade 3-4 learned about mixing Tints, Shades and Tones to create these stunning underwater paintings.

Wishing all of our families celebrating Ramadan a time filled with joy, kindness and togetherness. We look forward to learning about this festivity in the coming week with our students.

Playtime at PNE is starting tomorrow! 2:00 - 3:00 every Tuesday we will get together for a space to play and chat. Families do not need to have current children at the school to attend. If you know anyone with that has children who are not at school yet let them know!

*Parents will need to be double vaxxed to attend.*

What a huge first day back. It has been absolutely marvellous catching up with all the holidays news and cracking into 2022. Special congratulations to our Prep kids, who had their first ever full day of 'Big School' and to students who had their first day with us.

Finally, We wish to extend a very warm PNE welcome to new families. Welcome aboard!
