📣 SAY CHEESE! 📸 It’s another big week here at St Joseph’s, Northcote! 📣

Last week, our students had the privilege of spending time with Aboriginal actor, comedian and storyteller Sean Choolburra, who captivated us with stories from his life, career and culture.

From picking peaches on a farm to voicing Maynard, the Irish Wolfhound, in Bluey, Sean generously shared stories about his life, identity, family and culture.

Never short of volunteers, it was a joy to see students eagerly joining in through dance, storytelling and laughter, connecting with one another and with Country. A huge thank you to Sean for sharing his time, wisdom and remarkable journey with our St Joseph’s community. 💛🖤❤️

Last week, our school community recognised the beginning of Reconciliation Week by coming together to acknowledge National Sorry Day. ❤️💛🖤💙💚🤍

Led brilliantly by our FIRE Carrier leaders, our new Acknowledgement of Country was unveiled.

A huge congratulations to Dylan, Archer & Hamish, as well as Mr Joey and Ms Louise, for the incredible effort put into making the day so special.

Our school’s Parents Band, Sunday School, will be performing in the second Northside Heat! All funds raised from ticket sales go straight back to supporting the performing arts and music programs of all participating schools, plus there’s some excellent prizes on offer (more about that tomorrow! 👀)
