As part of our Vesak program, our children had a wonderful opportunity to meet the Nayaka Thero of Lankarama Temple and listen to a short Dhamma sermon.
This was a valuable opportunity to teach our children about the importance of Vesak Day and its significance in the Buddhist tradition. We believe that activities like these help strengthen our children's understanding of the Dhamma while also fostering a closer relationship with the temple.
A big thank you to our Media Unit for organizing this meaningful event.

Vesak Celebration 2026 – Another Remarkable Day in NPSS History
With outstanding planning, dedication, and commitment from our parents—who continually strive to enhance our students’ learning and cultural engagement—we successfully created a beautiful Vesak lantern display.
This amazing project involved many challenging elements, including precision, accuracy, measurements, calculations, load balancing, and, ultimately, achieving a beautiful final result. Our talented parents demonstrated that nothing is impossible when passion, commitment, skill, and patience come together.
Our children had a wonderful opportunity to witness the behind-the-scenes work that went into these projects. This was a fantastic initiative that inspired them to transform their creative ideas into action and appreciate the effort required to bring a vision to life.
The collaboration between our children and parents during the setup and decoration process had a tremendous impact, ensuring the lanterns were beautifully illuminated and ready for display on time. Every contribution, no matter how small, played an important role in the success of this event.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who was involved. Your support, teamwork, and dedication made this celebration truly special and memorable for our NPSS community.
