A very humbling night… SWIMCON26 Awards.

I’m incredibly honoured to have been named the 2026 Swim Trainer of the Year.

To be recognised by colleagues and peers within the swimming and aquatic industry is something I’m genuinely very grateful for. There have been so many people, coaches, athletes, organisations and mentors who have contributed to the journey and shaped the way I approach training, education and leadership.

What makes this recognition particularly special is the number of messages and congratulations received since the announcement. I’ve been genuinely humbled by the support and generosity of so many people.

Podium - Sports Training and Consulting was built around a simple belief… better people, better coaches and better outcomes for the athletes and communities we serve. This award is a wonderful recognition of that ongoing work, but it also belongs to the many people who continue to contribute to the journey.
