Some times the best tool to help your kid is taking a minute to yourself (when safe) and modelling how to REGULATE YOUR OWN EMOTIONS and come back ready to help REGULATE THEIR EMOTIONS.

When EMOTIONS get high THINKING gets hard.

A meltdown is not the time for teaching, there will be plenty of time for learning and growing when the emotions settle.

This MELTDOWN is just a MOMENT.

It is a MOMENT in your JOURNEY and NOT the DESTINATION.
