It is with great sadness that we share the passing of David Sanguinetti, a truly dedicated member of the Trinity Grammar School staff for over half a century.

David’s years of service to Trinity were both significant and unmatched. As groundskeeper and caretaker across two campuses, particularly the Marles Playing Fields, David became an iconic figure within the TGS community — a community he cared for deeply. He served with great pride, preparing the School’s grounds to the highest standard, from which thousands of students, staff, families and Old Trinity Grammarians have benefited. An extraordinary contribution, his legacy will be rich and enduring.

Although recently unwell, David remained engaged right through to the present. Our heartfelt condolences to Reea and Glenn (OTG 1986) and their extended family.

David’s funeral will be held at 11.00am on Thursday 21 May at the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Trinity Grammar School, Kew, followed by refreshments in the P&F Hall. The service will be livestreamed. https://tobinbrothers.com.au/tribute/davidianjames-sanguinetti-2603548/

The OTGA is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nick Warren (OTG 1992) as our new president of the Old Trinity Grammarians Association.

Nick will be taking over this posting from Ryan Landgren (OTG 2009) who has served the OTGA faithfully for the last 3 years as president, and we would like to extend our gratitude to Ryan for all the hard work and effort he has given to the role.

We are excited to embark on this next chapter with Nick, and eagerly look forward to what is to come for the OTGA and our community under Nicks leadership.

On Thursday evening last week, the class of 2021 got together at the Skinny Dog Hotel in Kew for their 5 year reunion!

The 5 year reunion is an amazing experience for OTG’s to spend an evening with their fellow classmates and former teachers, and look back on their fond memories experienced at 40 Charles Street. It was great to see such a fantastic turnout from this cohort.

To view more of the photos from the evening, please head to OTGO!

ANZAC Day is particularly important on the calendars of Old Trinity Grammarians. Trinity’s history is honoured with students and teachers who have devoted their lives to, and in many cases given their lives in the line of duty.

This post shares the honour roll from World Wars One and Two, recognising the ultimate sacrifice these OTG’s made in the name of protecting their country.

The OTGA remembers and extends its gratitude to all Old Trinity Grammarians who have served in the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces in the schools 123 year history.

We will remember them.

The OTGA would like to pass on our congratulations to Nick Larkey (OTG 2016), who at the end of last year was honoured with the captaincy of the North Melbourne Football Club!

North Melbourne drafted Nick at pick no.73 in the 2016 national draft, and since then, he has played in 137 AFL games, kicking a whopping 290 goals across them. During this time, Nick has played alongside Todd Goldstein (OTG 2006) and under 2023/2024 NMFC captain Luke McDonald (OTG 2012).

Nick has experienced a welcome amount of success early in his captaincy, leading North Melbourne to two wins from three games this year. As they take on Carlton in today’s Good Friday clash, we wish Nick and his teammates all the best, as well as for the season ahead 💚💛
