🔦 Presenter Spotlight: Katie Hull-Brown
Workshop: STRETCH! – Music, Movement & Meaning
We’re delighted to welcome Katie Hull-Brown to the F–10 Music Conference—an inspiring music educator, mentor and researcher whose work blends creativity, inclusion, and deep pedagogical insight.
In her dynamic Orff-inspired workshop STRETCH! – Music, Movement & Meaning, Katie invites participants to explore “elastic” as both a teaching metaphor and a hands-on tool for musical and social-emotional growth. Using rainbow rings, elastic bands, voice, and body, educators will engage in movement-rich, collaborative activities that deepen musical understanding, foster SEL, and build collective cognition.
This joyful session is perfect for both generalist and specialist teachers looking to expand their practice with purpose and play!
Katie brings over 25 years of experience across early childhood, primary, and tertiary settings, and is currently President of the Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association. She mentors over 50 teachers, delivers hands-on professional learning nationally, and was recently awarded the 2025 ASME Music Teacher Award (Experienced Category). A doctoral candidate at La Trobe University, her research focuses on the intersection of music education and social-emotional learning.
Don't miss your chance to learn from Katie at the F-10 Conference.
