Ivanhoe Grammar School is proud to celebrate a significant achievement in our Performing Arts Program, with Moana Jr. receiving the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria 2025 Junior Award of Excellence.
This award recognises the production as a vibrant and culturally respectful performance, highlighted by authentic Polynesian pre-show entertainment and the commitment of our students and staff in bringing the story to life.
Pictured are Kyra (Moana), Nate (Maui) and Sienna (Gramma Tala), now in Year 8, holding the Guild Award alongside the original program. Their work reflects the collective effort, creativity and care shown by the entire cast and crew.
We are incredibly proud of this recognition and what it represents for our school community. We now look forward with excitement to this year’s production of Finding Nemo Jr.

A special evening at the MCG brought together over 100 Year 12 cadets, alongside their families, staff and invited military guests, to celebrate the completion of a four-year journey of personal growth, leadership and service.
In a formal ceremony, cadets were presented with commemorative plaques, while Cadet Unit Senior Leaders Kate and Ella shared their reflections on what has been a meaningful and transformative program.
A particularly poignant moment followed with the presentation of a new trophy in honour of Mr Greig Wanless, who was tragically lost to the School two years ago. Greig’s wife, Karen, and daughter, Matilda, presented the award to Cadet Under Officer Will.
Congratulations to our cadets and the dedicated staff who have guided and supported them throughout their journey.
